    • Brewers recall Janson Junk on Saturday
Brewers recalled RHP Janson Junk from Triple-A Nashville.

Advice: Junk provides Milwaukee’s bullpen with some extra long relief depth for the remainder of their weekend series against the White Sox. The 28-year-old righty has made three relief appearances this season for the Brewers. Rotoworld Today, 12:17 pm
    • Brewers option Tobias Myers to Triple-A
Brewers optioned RHP Tobias Myers to Triple-A Nashville.

Advice: Myers retreats to the minors after allowing five runs over 5 1/3 frames on Friday in a no-decision against the struggling White Sox. The 25-year-old righty has intriguing stuff, but it hasn’t translated to the majors yet as he holds a lackluster 5.40 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 27/10 K/BB ratio across 26 2/3 innings (seven appearances, six starts). He remains a work in progress and figures to be up-and-down for Milwaukee over the next few months. Rotoworld Today, 12:16 pm

    • Sent to Triple-A
The Brewers optioned Myers to Triple-A Nashville on Saturday.

Advice: Myers was knocked around during his start against the White Sox on Friday, allowing five earned runs in just 4.1 frames, and he will now head back to Nashville in order to right the ship. The 25-year-old owns a 5.40 ERA and 1.46 WHIP through 26.2 innings across seven big-league appearances this season, though he still may be relied upon later in the year if the Brewers run into additional problems with their pitching depth. Janson Junk was recalled from Triple-A in a corresponding move. Rotowire.com Today, 12:13 pm

    • MRI shows no structural damage
Romano (elbow) had an MRI on his right elbow Friday night, which didn't reveal any structural damage, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Advice: Romano was placed on the 15-day injured list with inflammation in his throwing elbow, but he appears to have avoided a significant injury. The 31-year-old will be shut down from throwing for a few days before Toronto will determine what direction the team will go from there. Yimi Garcia is considered the frontrunner to operate as the closer for the Blue Jays in Romano's absence. Rotowire.com Today, 12:02 pm

    • Eyeing Wednesday return
Singer (illness) is feeling better but still needs a few days to recover strength, potentially slotting in to start Wednesday in Cleveland according to manager Matt Quatraro, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Singer was scratched from his last scheduled start Thursday versus the Twins due to an illness, but he now appears to be on track to return to the mound relatively soon. The right-hander is in the midst of a career year with Kansas City, producing a 2.63 ERA and 1.12 WHIP with 64 strikeouts over 61.2 innings in his first 11 starts of 2024. • Expected to start Sunday
Medina (knee) is slated to start Sunday's series finale with Atlanta, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Medina has missed the entirety of the 2024 campaign to this point while recovering from a Grade 2 MCL sprain in his right knee that he suffered March 4 at spring training. The 25-year-old made two starts with Triple-A Las Vegas on a rehab assignment, surrendering seven runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out seven batters over six innings. He'll be tasked with facing one of the best lineups in Atlanta on Sunday in his first major-league start of the year. Rotowire.com Today, 11:42 am

    • Moves to 60-day IL
The Phillies transferred Covey (shoulder) to the 60-day injured list Saturday.

Advice: Covey has been on the IL since the beginning of the season due to a right shoulder strain, so his move to the 60-day IL has no effect on his return date. It does, however, open a spot on Philadelphia's 40-man roster for Freddy Tarnok, who was claimed off waivers from Oakland on Saturday. Rotowire.com Today, 11:42 am

    • Claimed by Phillies
The Phillies claimed Tarnok (hip) off waivers from Oakland on Saturday, reinstated him from the 60-day injured list, and optioned him to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Advice: Tarnok has been on the injured list all season while recovering from a hip procedure he underwent in August. He began a rehab assignment in Triple-A on May 8, allowing 11 earned runs in just 7.1 innings. He'll remain in Triple-A upon making a full recovery and shifting to a new organization, though a drastic turnaround would likely be necessary before Tarnok spends any time in the Phillies' bullpen. Dylan Covey (shoulder) was transferred to the 60-day IL in a corresponding move. Rotowire.com Today, 11:39 am
    • Kodai Senga (shoulder) still just playing catch
Mets manager Carlos Mendoza told reporters Saturday that Kodai Senga (shoulder) has yet to progress to a bullpen session.

Advice: Mendoza adds that Senga is still playing light catch and there is no plan yet for him to advance to throwing off a mound. The 30-year-old righty has been out all season recovering from a right shoulder injury and remains without a definitive timeline to return. Rotoworld Today, 11:34 am
