    • Bryce Harper crushes 20th homer in loss to Tigers
      Bryce Harper went 2-for-4 with his 20th home run of the season on Tuesday in the Phillies’ loss to the Tigers.

      Advice: Harper broke up a potential shutout with a ninth-inning blast against Tigers stopper Jason Foley with the Phillies trailing by four runs at the time. It may have been a garbage-time round-tripper, but fantasy managers certainly won’t complain. The 31-year-old fantasy superstar has gone deep five times over his last six contests and is up to 20 big flies on the year already. If he stays healthy, Harper has a realistic shot at surpassing his previous career-high mark (42) in the home run department, which he set all the way back in 2015.     • M’s lose Bryan Woo to IL with hamstring strain
      Mariners placed RHP Bryan Woo on the 15-day injured list with a right hamstring strain.

      Advice: Woo has been phenomenal this season for Seattle, registering a microscopic 1.77 ERA, 0.69 WHIP and 28/3 K/BB ratio across 40 2/3 innings (eight starts), but has struggled to stay healthy. The 24-year-old righty was lifted from the fourth inning of Monday’s start against the Rays with a right hamstring tightness, and a subsequent MRI revealed a low-grade strain.     • Lands on IL with strained hamstring
      The Mariners placed Woo on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with a right hamstring strain, Shannon Drayer of SeattleSports.com reports.

      Advice: It's being classified as a low-grade strain, so perhaps Woo has a chance to return when his 15 days are up or shortly after. Emerson Hancock would normally be the obvious candidate to step into the Mariners' rotation in Woo's place, but his status is unclear after he exited his last start at Triple-A Tacoma with lower-back tightness. Jhonathan Diaz, who's struggled at the big-league level this season (5.06 ERA, 1.88 WHIP) but has an 8-1 record and 3.26 ERA at Tacoma, is another candidate. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:38 pm
       
    • One bad inning Monday
      Schwellenbach (1-3) took the loss Monday against the Cardinals, giving up four runs on eight hits over five innings. He struck out six without walking a batter.

      Advice: The rookie didn't pitch badly overall, but he lost focus in the third inning and allowed all four of the runs against him thanks to five hits and a wild pitch. It was the first time in five big-league starts that Schwellenbach hasn't issued a free pass, and he's gone three straight outings without serving up a homer, providing hope that he can provide some stability to the back of Atlanta's rotation.       Hoerner went 2-for-4 with a walk, one stolen base and one run scored in Monday's 5-4 loss to the Giants.

      Advice: Hoerner hasn't hit all that well in June (.194), but he's logged six steals over 19 contests this month. The infielder is up to 12 thefts on 14 attempts for the season, providing speed atop the Cubs' lineup.     • Ohtani walks, hits sac fly in win over White Sox
      Shohei Ohtani went 0-for-3 with a walk and an RBI against the White Sox on Monday.

      Advice: It was a quiet game for the Dodgers offense against White Sox starter Garrett Crochet. Ohtani hit a sacrifice fly in the ninth inning to give Los Angeles a 3-0 lead. It was his 58th RBI on the season. He trails only Braves outfielder Marcell Ozuna for the National League lead in RBI. Ohtani is hitting .318 with a 1.021 OPS on the season.     • Fans eight in no-decision
      Bradley came away with a no-decision Monday against Seattle, allowing one earned run on two hits and four walks while striking out eight over 5.1 innings.

      Advice: The only run given up by Bradley came on a fourth-inning home run by Cal Raleigh. The right-hander yielded just two hits, but the four walks are a season worst, and he has now walked multiple batters in six of his past seven starts. The 23-year-old has an excellent 10.8 K/9 (91st percentile), but he will need to minimize free passes to stay consistent. On the season, Bradley has recorded a 3.81 ERA, a 1.15 WHIP and a 61:18 K:BB over 49.2 innings. His next start is currently scheduled for this weekend against Washington.     • Taj Bradley whiffs eight on Monday in no-decision
      Taj Bradley struck out eight and allowed one run over 5 1/3 innings on Monday in a no-decision against the Mariners.

      Advice: Bradley carried a shutout into the fourth inning on Monday night at Tropicana Field before coughing up a solo homer to Cal Raleigh, which represented the lone tally against him in this one. He induced 12 swinging strikes, including seven on his splitter alone, and finished with a solid 30 percent CSW. The 23-year-old youngster has allowed two earned runs or fewer in four consecutive outings since getting crushed for nine runs by the division-rival Orioles back on June 1.     • Schwellenbach strikes out six in loss Monday
      Spencer Schwellenbach allowed for runs in five innings and took the loss against the Cardinals on Monday.



      Advice: Schwellenbach gave up eight hits, walked none and struck out six. It wasn’t a terrible start considering it was the fifth start of his major league career. All four runs against Schwellenbach came in the fourth inning and the only extra-base hit he allowed was an RBI double to Alec Burleson. Schwellenbach has allowed only two home runs in his five starts. His ERA is 5.40, but his xFIP is much lower at 3.69, which shows that the positives outweigh the negatives so far. The 24-year-old rookie right-hander is set to face the Pirates at home this weekend.
