    • Not close to return
Manager Bud Black said Tuesday that Diaz (calf) will be out for at least another week, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Diaz has resumed baseball activities but is not sprinting at full speed and is still experiencing some soreness. The Rockies have stressed the importance of Diaz returning at full strength, so his absence could extend into the middle of July. Jacob Stallings should remain the team's primary catcher in the meantime. Rotowire.com Thursday, 6:45 am

    • Taking seat Tuesday
Murphy is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cardinals.

Advice: After catching back-to-back games, Murphy will yield to Travis d'Arnaud behind the plate Tuesday. Murphy owns a .618 OPS with a 27.4 percent strikeout rate across 73 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 1:37 pm

    • Resumes jogging
The Rockies cleared Diaz (calf) to resume jogging Monday, MLB.com reports.

Advice: While Diaz looks to be making some progress in his recovery from the left calf strain that forced him to the injured list last Friday, he's still on track to spend more than the minimum 10 days on the shelf. The Rockies haven't yet provided a target date for Diaz's return from the IL, and Jacob Stallings should serve as Colorado's top backstop until Diaz is back in action. Rotowire.com Thursday, 2:16 pm

    • Sean Murphy goes 4-for-4, homers twice in victory
Sean Murphy went 4-for-4 and hit a pair of two-run homers as the Braves bested the Tigers 7-0 on Wednesday.

Advice: A big game for a slumping hitter. Murphy, who missed most of April and May, hadn’t achieved even a two-hit game in his 15 previous starts this season. He had totaled one homer and four RBI in 56 plate appearances. His OPS jumped from .408 to .625 today. Rotoworld Wednesday, 12:31 pm

    • Breaks out with two homers
Murphy went 4-for-4 with a pair of two-run homers and three total runs scored in Wednesday's 7-0 win over the Tigers.

Advice: Murphy extended Atlanta's lead to 3-0 in the third inning with a two-run blast off Tarik Skubal before cranking a second two-run homer in the fifth off Mason Englert. It's the first multi-hit game of the year for Murphy, who was batting just .135 with a lone homer through his first 15 games this season. Perhaps Wednesday's outburst is a sign of things to come for the 29-year-old backstop -- Murphy posted an .843 OPS with 21 homers across 438 plate appearances last year.
