    • Grabbing seat Wednesday
Ruiz is out of the lineup Wednesday's contest against the Twins, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.

Advice: The Nationals and Twins are concluding their three-game series with an afternoon game Wednesday, so Washington will give backup catcher Riley Adams a start behind the dish. Ruiz is sporting a disappointing .434 OPS this season for Washington. Rotowire.com 19 minutes ago

    • Homers in first rehab game
Murphy (oblique) played seven innings at catcher and went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and an additional run Tuesday in his first rehab game for Triple-A Gwinnett.

Advice: In his first game since suffering a Grade 1 left oblique strain his season debut with Atlanta on March 29, Murphy had been scheduled to catch just four innings, but he ended up staying behind the dish longer than expected. The 29-year-old backstop didn't exhibit any rust with the bat or in the field Tuesday, as he threw out the only baserunner that attempt to steal off of him and provided the highlight of the night with a 449-foot blast off the batter's eye in center field in his first at-bat. According to David O'Brien of The Athletic, Atlanta manager Brian Snitker said that Murphy will be off Wednesday before starting behind the plate again for Gwinnett on Thursday. Snitker added that Murphy is also expected to get another start for Gwinnett as a designated hitter, so Atlanta is seemingly planning on having Murphy remain on assignment through at least Friday before bringing him back from the 10-day injured list. • Impressive in non-save situation
Kopech struck out the side without allowing a baserunner Tuesday against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Kopech entered the game in the ninth inning and was tasked with protecting a five-run lead. He needed only 15 pitches to end the game, and he racked up seven called strikes without generating a whiff. After a shaky start to the season, Kopech now has six consecutive scoreless appearances, maintaining an 8:5 K:BB across 6.1 frames in that span. Rotowire.com Today, 6:36 am

    • Secures win with elite performance
Hader (3-3) earned the win over the Angels in 10 innings on Tuesday, pitching two perfect innings while striking out four.

Advice: Hader put together a vintage performance to help the Astros get by the Angels, which included striking out the side in the 10th inning. He's now pitched multiple frames in two of his last three outings and is showing signs of dominance once again after a rough start to the year. Over his last 11 games, Hader has a 1.26 ERA, 0.77 WHIP and 24:5 K:BB in 14.1 innings, which equates to a 44.4 strikeout rate. For the year, he's now lowered his ERA to a 4.09 to complement a 1.09 WHIP and 35:9 K:BB in 22 innings. Rotowire.com Today, 4:53 am

    • Josh Hader gets win after two perfect innings
Josh Hader picked up a win after pitching perfect ninth and 10th innings against the Angels on Tuesday.

Advice: Hader fanned four while pitching two innings for the second time in his last three appearances. He’s allowed one run and struck out 14 in 9 1/3 innings this month, lowering his ERA from 6.39 to 4.09. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:02 pm

    • Victorious again
Woo (2-0) earned the win Tuesday, yielding two hits and no walks with seven strikeouts across six scoreless innings against the Yankees.

Advice: Woo's been excellent to start 2024, allowing just one run across 15.2 innings after missing the first month of the campaign with elbow inflammation. The 24-year-old still seems to be on a pitch count, as he only threw 77 pitches Tuesday and hasn't exceeded 80 pitches in a start this year. He's projected to make another start Sunday at Washington. • Raps out four hits
Garcia went 4-for-5 with two triples, one RBI and three runs scored in Tuesday's 10-3 win over the Tigers.

Advice: Garcia showcased his speed Tuesday with the pair of triples. The third baseman has gone 14-for-39 (.359) during his nine-game hitting streak, and he's added three steals, eight RBI and nine runs scored in that span. For the season, the leadoff hitter is slashing .263/.308/.429 with five home runs, 32 RBI, 28 runs scored and 11 stolen bases across 48 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:20 pm

    • Torres’ three-run homer not enough in Yanks loss
Gleyber Torres went 1-for-3 with a home run and three RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Mariners.

Advice: Torres’ three-run homer in the seventh gave the Yankees their first runs of the evening after they spent the first six innings being stifled by Bryan Woo. Torres’ homer, his third on the season, ended shutout but didn’t prove to be enough for the Yankees, who were held scoreless the rest of the way. Torres is slashing a mere .223/.301/.310 on the season and is hitting .227 in the month of May. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:19 pm
    • Woo dominates over six scoreless innings vs. Yanks
Bryan Woo pitched six scoreless innings while striking out seven to earn the win on Tuesday against the Yankees.

Advice: Woo allowed just two hits in this one and didn’t walk a batter. The second-year pro has now allowed just one earned run over three starts and 15 2/3 innings this season since being activated from the 15-day injured list on May 10th. Woo is now 2-0 with a 0.57 ERA and 0.51 WHIP. He’ll look to keep his hot start going on Sunday against the Nationals. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:13 pm
