    • Belts fourth homer
Riley went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, two runs scored and three RBI in Friday's win over Tampa Bay.

Advice: Riley hit an RBI double in the first inning before hammering a two-run homer in the second. It was just his fourth homer of the year and first since May 3, snapping a 23-game drought. During that homerless streak, he posted a brutal .462 OPS. Riley is now slashing .230/.296/.357 with 17 extra-base hits and 23 RBI through 54 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:18 pm

    • Matt Waldron allows two runs across seven innings
Matt Waldron kept the Mets at bay through seven innings on Friday allowing just three hits and two earned runs. He walked two and struck out two.

Advice: This was another solid start for Waldron without being as dominant as his last handful. His knuckleball danced through the rainy night sky in Queens and the Mets had plenty of trouble squaring it up. He’ll take a 3.66 ERA into his next start against the Phillies. • Fans seven in win
Sale (9-2) allowed two runs on five hits and two walks over seven innings Friday, striking out seven and earning a win over the Rays.

Advice: Sale coughed up a run before recording an out in the first inning but settled in for a strong quality start in the win. He forced 17 swinging strikes, including 12 on the slider. It was Sale's second consecutive quality start and sixth in his last seven appearances. The veteran lefty has posted a 2.60 ERA over 45 innings during that span. For the season, he owns a 2.98 ERA with a 99:13 K:BB through 13 outings. Sale's next start is lined up to be on the road against the Yankees. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:51 pm
    • Chris Sale strikes out seven in win
Chris Sale allowed two earned runs across seven innings in a 7-3 win over the Rays on Friday. He struck out seven and walked two.

Advice: Sale was his usual emotional and demonstrative self on the mound even after being handed a huge lead early and that intensity carried him to another great start. This was the fifth time in six starts Sale completed seven innings and the eighth time he’s done so already this season. He’s been one of the most valuable pitchers in baseball this season, stepping into the ace role for Atlanta without Spencer Strider. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:06 pm
    • Austin Riley wakes up with three hits, homer
Austin Riley went 3-for-4 with a home run, double, three RBI, and two runs scored against the Rays on Friday.

Advice: Finally, some signs of life from Riley. His home run was hammered 107.3 MPH and soared 422 feet. All three of his batted balls were hit at least 104 MPH and this feels like it could be the end of Riley’s prolonged cold start this season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:04 pm

    • Returns to lineup
Seager (hamstring) is serving as the Rangers' designated hitter and batting second Friday against the Mariners.

Advice: Seager was dealing with tightness in his hamstring while warming up for Thursday's game, and he was scratched from the lineup as a precaution after having missed four games earlier in the week due to hamstring problems. The issue has now subsided ahead of Friday's contest, and he will look to remain hot at the plate after going 8-for-21 with a homer and four RBI in six games since the beginning of June. • Still not doing on-field work
Tucker (lower leg) won't play in Saturday's game against Detroit and has yet to participate in on-field activities, Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet Southwest reports.

Advice: There was initially optimism that Tucker would be able to return from the IL when first eligible Friday, but that doesn't seem imminent. The Astros could keep Tucker out through the weekend and activate him for a three-game road series against the White Sox that kicks off Tuesday if he shows some progress. • Kyle Tucker (shin) won’t be ready on Saturday
Astros’ manager Joe Espada told reporters on Friday that Kyle Tucker (shin) will not be ready to be activated from the injured list on Saturday.

Advice: While he noted that Tucker is “moving in the right direction” he also admitted that Tucker is not doing baseball activities yet. While a return at some point over the weekend hasn’t been ruled out yet, it seems unlikely if he’s not doing any baseball activities yet. A more likely scenario has the 27-year-old superstar outfielder returning to action next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:10 pm

    • Taking seat Friday
Freeman is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Freeman is hitting .194 through nine games in June and will sit Friday after starting the previous five games. Daniel Schneemann will start in center field and bat seventh. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:39 pm
