    • Mason Miller strikes out side for ninth save
Mason Miller struck out all three batters he faced Tuesday against the Rockies for his first save of the month.

Advice: Miller earned eight saves from Apr. 9-30, but the A’s hadn’t had any save situations for him since. Given that he also pitched Sunday, it’s possible he’ll now require Wednesday off. The A’s have allowed him to pitch on consecutive days twice, but they haven’t had him work three times in four days. That it’s a day game Wednesday doesn’t help. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:42 pm

    • Picks up eighth save
Jansen collected the save Tuesday, allowing one hit and no walks over a scoreless inning against the Rays. He didn't generate a strikeout.

Advice: Jansen hadn't pitched since allowing a pair of runs and taking a loss May 16 and was able to shake off the rust after allowing a leadoff double to Isaac Paredes in the ninth, retiring three straight batters to pick up his eighth save of the season. The veteran closer owns a 5.14 ERA this month and has struck out seven batters in 7.0 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:37 pm
    • Walks four in no-decision
Morton allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits and four walks while striking out eight over five innings in a no-decision versus the Cubs on Tuesday.

Advice: Morton's last two starts have been against the Cubs, and they've managed to give him some control issues -- he walked seven batters over eight innings in those games. Tuesday's road outing was better than his start last Wednesday in Atlanta, but it still doesn't inspire a ton of confidence. The veteran right-hander is now at a 3.35 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 52:21 K:BB over 51 innings through nine starts this season. Morton's next start is projected to be at home versus the Nationals. • Charlie Morton fans eight in no-decision
Charlie Morton was uninvolved in the decision against the Cubs on Tuesday after allowing two runs — one earned — in five innings against the Cubs.

Advice: Morton matched his season high with eight strikeouts. In the entire history of MLB, only Nolan Ryan (five times), Randy Johnson, Roger Clemens and Orlando Hernández have managed to strike out at least a batter an inning at age 40 or over (min. 130 innings). Morton, with 52 Ks in 51 IP to date, has a chance to join the club. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:32 pm
    • Records two hits in return
Swanson (knee) went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Tuesday's 4-3, 10-inning win over Atlanta.

Advice: Swanson was activated from the 10-day injured list Monday night and he made his return to the lineup Tuesday after missing two weeks. The shortstop hit the ground running against his former team, though he's been off to a slow start overall with just a .218 batting average across 38 games. Swanson should still see regular playing time moving forward despite his struggles, and he's talented enough to heat up in a hurry. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:10 pm

    • X-rays negative
X-rays on Fraley's right hand came back negative Tuesday, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Advice: Fraley is reportedly dealing with swelling after taking a pitch off his hand during the first inning of Tuesday's contest, but he seems to have avoided a serious injury. The Reds will re-evaluate his hand Wednesday, but it's likely the 28-year-old outfielder sits out a game or two in order to recover. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:28 pm

    • X-rays negative on Jake Fraley’s right hand
X-rays came back negative on Jake Fraley’s right hand.

Advice: The positive news here is that Fraley didn’t suffer a fracture when he was hit by a pitch on the right hand during Tuesday’s game against the Padres. The 28-year-old is dealing with some inflammation and will be re-evaluated on Wednesday. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:25 pm

    • Jake Fraley exits Tuesday following hit by pitch
Jake Fraley was removed from Tuesday’s game against the Padres after being hit by a pitch.

Advice: Fraley was hit by a pitch on the right wrist area in the opening frame and wound up leaving the contest shortly afterwards. He’s presumably headed for X-rays to determine the severity of the injury. There should be an update on his status shortly. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:23 pm

    • Leaves Tuesday with hand injury
Fraley left Tuesday night's game against the Padres after getting hit by a pitch on the hand in the first inning.

Advice: Fraley ran the bases after the HBP but then retreated to the clubhouse at the end of the inning. Stuart Fairchild replaced Fraley in the game. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:09 pm
