    • Bryan Woo could be activated this weekend
      The Seattle Times’ Adam Jude suggests that Bryan Woo (elbow) could be activated form the IL this weekend to face the Athletics.

      Advice: Woo was impressive in his last start at Triple-A, throwing 66 pitches while averaging 95.7 mph on his fastball. He now has a 17-to-0 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 11 1/3 scoreless innings across his three rehab appearances with Tacoma, while allowing just five hits. However, Jude notes that “the team wants to see how Woo feels over the next couple of days before finalizing plans to activate him.” With Emerson Hancock set to make his start against the Twins on Tuesday, his turn in the rotation would come up again this weekend against Oakland, and Woo could be activated to take his place. He certainly looks ready and Jude confirms that, “The club does not plan to go with a six-man rotation and would prefer to keep Hancock stretched out in Triple-A, as opposed to keep him in the majors to pitch out of the bullpen.” Rotoworld Today, 12:04 pm

      Hader (1-3) allowed a solo home run and struck out one to take the loss Sunday against the Mariners.

      Advice: Hader entered the game in the ninth inning with the score tied 4-4. He retired the first batter he faced but then served up the go-ahead homer to Cal Raleigh. Hader had turned in three consecutive appearances without giving up an earned run prior to Sunday, though he's now been charged with at least one run in six of his 15 appearances.     • MLB updates ruling Friday
      MLB changed the official scoring on a play during Friday's game, which left Houck charged with three earned runs over six-plus innings, not four, Peter Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

      Estrada went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Phillies.

      Advice: Estrada gave the Giants some late life with a two-run blast in the seventh off Taijuan Walker, which ultimately knocked him from the game. The 28-year-old is riding a five-game hit streak and has six RBI over his last four games.       Eduardo Rodriguez will undergo additional testing on his injured lat during the upcoming week.

      Advice: The Diamondbacks are hopeful that if all goes well, he’ll be able to begin a throwing program. The team has already said that he’s unlikely to make his debut before June, and even the end of June seems optimistic with the way that this has played out so far.       Brown didn't factor into the decision Sunday against Seattle, allowing two runs on five hits with four walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out five.

      Advice: Despite tying his season high in walks, Brown allowed only a pair of runners to score and held the Mariners to just one extra-base hit. Brown has lasted less than five innings in five of his seven starts this season and owns an ugly 8.89 ERA through 27.1 innings. With Cristian Javier (neck) set to return in the next week or so, Brown's time in the rotation could be coming to a close. However, Houston could drop rookie Spencer Arrighetti instead.       Soto went 1-for-4 with three RBI during Sunday's 5-2 win over the Tigers. He struck out twice.

      Advice: Soto had a rough go of it against Detroit starter Tarik Skubal, striking out twice against the tough lefty. However, Soto fared much better against southpaw reliever Andrew Chafin, clearing the bases with a seventh inning double to break a 2-2 tie and provide the winning runs for the Yankees. Soto's average stands at .316 with a .980 OPS, including eight homers, 28 RBI, 23 runs and four steals over 136 at-bats during his first season in the Bronx.       Juan Soto delivered a go-ahead three-run double in the seventh inning on Sunday, propelling the Yankees to a 5-2 victory over the Tigers in the Bronx.

      Advice: The Tigers came back with a pair of runs to tie the game in the top half of the seventh inning, but the Yankees’ bats went right back to work in the home half of the frame. They loaded the bases against Shelby Miller with a single and a pair of walks, then Soto greeted Andrew Chafin with a three-run double into right field to put the Bombers back on top to stay.       Hunter Brown lasted 4 1/3 innings and allowed two runs Sunday in a no-decision versus the Mariners.

      Advice: Brown walked four and threw 91 pitches to get his 13 outs. His 13.1% walk rate this season is more than 50% higher than his previous career mark, and nothing else he’s doing is making up for that.
