    • Goes deep in win
Walker went 1-for-4 with a walk and a solo home run in Tuesday's 7-3 win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Walker led off the top of the sixth inning with a solo homer. The blast was Walker's ninth and tied him for the team lead with Ketel Marte. May has not been kind to Walker, who is batting .194 with a .606 OPS through 18 games, but he continues to lead the Diamondbacks with 31 RBI. Rotowire.com Today, 3:44 am

    • Steals home, goes yard
Duran went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a steal of home base during Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Rays.

Advice: The Red Sox executed a first-and-third double-steal perfectly in the eighth inning, as the throw to second to catch Rafael Devers stealing was cut off early and returned to home wasn't in time to tag the speedy Duran. Duran has hit safely in seven straight games, batting 10-for-27 (.370) with a pair of triples, solo home runs and stolen bases during that stretch. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:45 pm

    • Picks up eighth save
Jansen collected the save Tuesday, allowing one hit and no walks over a scoreless inning against the Rays. He didn't generate a strikeout.

Advice: Jansen hadn't pitched since allowing a pair of runs and taking a loss May 16 and was able to shake off the rust after allowing a leadoff double to Isaac Paredes in the ninth, retiring three straight batters to pick up his eighth save of the season. The veteran closer owns a 5.14 ERA this month and has struck out seven batters in 7.0 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:37 pm
    • Solid showing in loss
Schmidt (5-2) took the loss Tuesday against Seattle, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks across five innings. He struck out six.

Advice: Although Schmidt's scoreless inning streak ended at 17.0 innings, he didn't allow more than three runs -- something he's yet to do this season. Dylan Moore inflicted all the damage on Schmidt, launching a two-run homer in the third inning. On the year, Schmidt boasts a 2.59 ERA with a 61:17 K:BB over 55.2 innings and owns his best strikeout rate since becoming a full-time big-leaguer in 2022. The 28-year-old is scheduled to face the Padres in San Diego on Sunday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:46 pm
    • Javier Assad walks five, gets lifted in fifth
Javier Assad yielded three runs — two earned — in 4 2/3 innings Tuesday against the Braves.

Advice: This really should have been worse, considering that Assad gave up two homers and walked five batters. Still, his ERA remained intact at 1.70, and though he left with the Cubs down by a run, he avoided taking what would have been his first loss in 10 starts this year. He’ll make his next start in St. Louis on Sunday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:32 pm

    • Walk-off hit in return
Hoerner went 1-for-5 with one RBI in Tuesday's 4-3 extra-inning win over Atlanta.

Advice: Hoerner had a relatively unimpressive return after missing over a week with a hamstring issue, but he made up for it with a one-out, walk-off single in the 10th inning. The infielder is slashing .267/.357/.385 with two home runs, 13 RBI, 25 runs scored and five stolen bases over 185 plate appearances. Hoerner's return will likely mean less playing time for Nick Madrigal moving forward, assuming Hoerner doesn't suffer a setback with his hamstring. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:31 pm

    • Takes step back Tuesday
Assad allowed three runs (two earned) on four hits and five walks while striking out four over 4.2 innings in a no-decision versus Atlanta on Tuesday.

Advice: Assad gave up a two-run home run to Orlando Arcia in the second inning and a solo shot to Michael Harris in the fourth. The five walks were also a season high, and it was the fourth time this season Assad has issued three or more free passes. For the season, he's at a 1.70 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 46:20 K:BB through 53 innings across 10 starts. He's had little trouble with the long ball this year, so it's safe to assume he'll continue to find success in run prevention if he can keep the ball down. The right-hander is projected for a road start in St. Louis his next time out. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:28 pm

    • Schmidt allows two earned in loss to Mariners
Clarke Schmidt allowed two earned runs and four hits over five innings in the Yankees’ loss to the Mariners.

Advice: The two earned runs Schmidt allowed came on a two-run homer by Dylan Moore on a pitch that was off the outside black of the plate. It was a well-thrown pitch that resulted in an unfortunate outcome for Schmidt, who was otherwise solid on the evening. He walked just two batters while striking out six and has now struck out six or more batters in seven of his 10 starts. Schmidt is scheduled to make his next start on Sunday against the Padres. • Improves to 9-0
Suarez (9-0) earned the win Tuesday over the Rangers, allowing one run on five hits and two walks while striking out 10 over seven innings.

Advice: Suarez was stellar again Tuesday, holding Texas to a lone run on a Marcus Semien double in the third inning while recording a season-high 10 strikeouts. The 28-year-old southpaw has been a revelation for the Phillies this season -- his ERA is down to a sparkling 1.36 with a 0.79 WHIP and 49:9 K:BB while earning a league-most nine wins across 10 starts (66 innings). Suarez will look to keep rolling in his next outing, currently scheduled for this weekend in Colorado. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:12 pm
