He hit a solo home run off Kyle Gibson in the sixth inning and a two-run home run that gave the Rockies a 6-4 lead off Andrew Kittredge in the seventh inning.       Advice: Garver kept a ball just inside the left-field foul pole to pick up his seventh homer of the year. The 33-year-old also drew a walk to improve his slash to .180/.292/.348.       J.P. Crawford homered and drove in two runs in a loss Saturday to the Royals.

      Advice: Crawford didn’t waste any time by homering on the first pitch from Alec Marsh to give Seattle a 1-0 lead. The shortstop also drove in a run with a single in the third to again give the Mariners a lead at 3-2. After a horrible start to the year and missing time with an oblique injury, Crawford is looking more like the breakout hitter of 2023 than his .220/.306/.377 slash might suggest.       Advice: Blue Jays manager John Schneider added that Romano received an anti-inflammatory injection in his right elbow last weekend. It’s going to take a couple weeks for the 31-year-old closer to build up his arm strength before returning to Toronto’s bullpen, but it’s an encouraging sign that he’s been cleared to resume throwing again.       Miller (shoulder) tossed four-plus innings in a rehab start with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday, allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits and two walks while striking out two batters.

      Advice: This was Miller's third minor-league rehab appearance, and he's gradually worked up from three frames in his first rehab outing to four innings Friday. The righty hurler wasn't at his sharpest, but he approached a full workload with 85 pitches and sat at 97-98 mph with his fastball, per Eric Stephen of SBNation.com, after experiencing reduced velocity in his prior outing. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said prior to Miller's outing Friday that it could be the pitcher's final minor-league appearance before returning to the big club, per Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic, but a decision on Miller's next step has not yet been announced.
