    • Sent to Triple-A
The Dodgers optioned Outman to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday.

Advice: After a successful 2023 campaign, Outman has struggled mightily to begin 2024, slashing just .147/.250/.266 across 124 plate appearances. He'll now look to get back on track in the minors, though a significant turnaround would likely be required before the Dodgers consider calling him back up. Outman's demotion likely spells consistent playing time in center field for Andy Pages and clears a roster spot for Jason Heyward (back) to return from the injured list. • Dodgers option James Outman to Triple-A OKC
Dodgers optioned OF James Outman to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Advice: With Jason Heyward returning on Friday night, something had to give in the Dodgers’ outfield and Andy Pages was simply hitting too well to be sent down. That left Outman — who was slashing just .147/.250/.266 with three homers, 10 RBI and a pair of swipes — as the odd-man out this time around. He’ll look to get his season back on track at the Triple-A level. Rotoworld Today, 4:00 pm

    • Ronald Acuña Jr. back in the lineup on Friday
Ronald Acuña Jr. is back in the lineup, batting first for the Braves against the Padres on Friday.

Advice: Acuña received the day off on Wednesday as the Braves look for him to break out of his slump. He went 0-for-5 at the plate on Tuesday, which dropped his average to .245 on the season. Acuña’s .696 OPS is the lowest of his career. Hopefully the short break helps him get on track. Rotoworld Today, 12:46 pm
    • Max Kepler goes hitless in Twins’ shutout loss
Max Kepler went 0-for-4 with a strikeout on Thursday in the Twins’ shutout loss at the hands of the Yankees.

Advice: Kepler has been one of the hottest hitters in baseball of late, hitting .354 (17-for-48) with two homers and seven doubles in 14 games since the start of May, but wasn’t able to get anything going in this one. He wasn’t alone as Minnesota’s lineup wound up being limited to just three hits as Yankees starter Clarke Schmidt and reliever Victor González combined on a shutout. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:32 pm

    • Braves coaches think Acuña needs a “detox”
According to Ken Suguira of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Braves gave Ronald Acuña Jr. the day off on Wednesday because they wanted him to “detox” as a way to break his slump.

Advice: Acuña’s batting average (.245), slugging percentage (.342), and home-run rate (one per 51.7 at-bats) are all beneath the single-season lows in his seven-year career, as the 26-year-old tries to follow up a historically good season. “You can just read their faces sometimes, and actions,” said Braves coach Brian Snitker. “And it’s like, ‘Well, it’s time.’ Kid needs a little breather here. He’s played every inning of every game. It’s not a bad thing to sit and watch sometimes.” Braves coaches, Eddie Pérez and Tom Goodwin, told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that they believe that Acuña is pressing. “Sometimes, you force some things,” Goodwin said. Perhaps with a short break, Acuña will get back to the level everybody has seen him produce at before. Fantasy managers should clearly keep him in the lineup and hope he gets it going soon. • Ronald Acuña Jr. not in Braves lineup on Wednesday
Ronald Acuña Jr. is not in the Braves’ starting lineup for Wednesday night’s showdown against the Cubs.

Advice: It looks to be nothing more than a routine day of rest for the 26-year-old superstar. Michael Harris II will move up to the leadoff spot in the Braves’ order while Adam Duvall will draw a rare start against a right-hander and will bat sixth against Javier Assad and the Cubs on Wednesday evening in Atlanta. • Gets first day off of season
Acuna is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cubs, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Advice: Acuna is on the bench for the series finale, but his absence doesn't appear to be anything more than a much-needed maintenance day after he had started in right field in each of Atlanta's first 39 games of the season. Adam Duvall will step in as the starting right fielder in place of Acuna, who is in the midst of a cool stretch at the plate with just four hits in 31 at-bats over his last eight starts. • Swipes second bag
Outman went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, a run and a stolen base Tuesday in a 10-2 win against the Giants.

Advice: Batting out of the No. 9 hole, Outman reached base twice for the first time since May 4 and knocked just his second extra-base hit since April 24. It's been a struggle for the outfielder in his sophomore MLB campaign, as he's slashing a meager .155/.256/.282 with three homers, 10 RBI, two steals and a 31.6 percent strikeout rate through 117 plate appearances. He's gone 2-for-22 with 10 punchouts over eight games in May. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:09 am

    • Absent from lineup
Nootbaar is not in Tuesday's lineup versus the Angels.

Advice: Tuesday will mark Nootbaar's first day off since making a delayed season debut April 12 after a stint on the injured list due to fractured ribs. Brendan Donovan, Mike Siani and Dylan Carlson make up the starting outfield for the Cardinals on Tuesday. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 2:55 pm
