      Saturday’s game between the Athletics and Twins has been postponed due to inclement weather.

      Advice: Rain in the forecast throughout the afternoon and evening in Minnesota made this one an easy call. It’ll be made up as a doubleheader on Sunday afternoon instead. Saturday’s scheduled starters -- Joey Estes and Bailey Ober -- will presumably be pushed back to take the ball at some point during Sunday’s twin bill at Target Field.       Gallen (hamstring) threw a 37-pitch bullpen Friday, and the right-hander is slated to throw a sim game Tuesday, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.

      Advice: Gallen threw from a mound for the second time since landing on the injured list May 31 due to a right hamstring strain.     • Zac Gallen to throw simulated game on Tuesday
      Diamondbacks’ manager Torey Lovullo told reporters on Friday that right-hander Zac Gallen (hamstring) will pitch in a simulated game on Tuesday.

      Advice: The 28-year-old hurler is slated for three innings or around 45 pitches in the session. After that, he’ll likely need another simulated game — or perhaps a minor league rehab start — before he’s ready to return to the Diamondbacks’ rotation.       Buehler (1-4) allowed three runs (two earned) on seven hits and a walk while striking out two over five innings, taking the loss Wednesday versus the Rangers.

      Advice: Buehler gave up a three-run home run to Corey Seager in the fifth inning, and that ended up being the difference in this game. This was the sixth time in seven outings that Buehler has allowed at least three runs. He's likely still working on getting into a groove after an extended absence following his August 2022 Tommy John surgery. The right-hander has a 4.64 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 29:9 K:BB over 33 innings so far. He'll have a tough task in his next start, which is projected to be at Colorado.       Walker Buehler allowed three runs -- two earned -- with two strikeouts over five innings in a loss to the Rangers on Wednesday.

      Advice: Buehler had worked through four scoreless innings against the Rangers before serving up a three-run homer to Corey Seager to put Texas on top. Buehler scattered seven hits and one walk, striking out two batters. The 29-year-old right-hander has posted a 4.64 ERA, 1.48 WHIP, and a 29/9 K/BB ratio across 33 innings.       Sanchez did not factor into the decision in Wednesday's 8-6 loss to the Red Sox, allowing four runs on seven hits and two walks with two strikeouts over four innings.

      Advice: Sanchez opened with three scoreless frames before allowing a run on a sacrifice fly in the fourth, then he surrendered three straight hits to open the fifth and was pulled at just 67 pitches. All three inherited runners came around to score, marking the first time since April 29 that Sanchez yielded four runs or more in a start.       Cristopher Sánchez was charged with four runs in four-plus innings Wednesday against the Red Sox.

      Advice: It was one run through four, but the Red Sox opened up the fifth with three straight singles, only one of them hard hit, and the decision was made to pull Sánchez. There’s a good argument that Sánchez deserves better at this point — he entered the game with a 2.71 ERA, and he had thrown just 67 pitches tonight — but the Phillies wanted to be aggressive with their bullpen usage tonight.       Blanco (6-2) got the win over the Giants on Tuesday, allowing one run on three hits and a walk while striking out eight over six innings.

      Advice: Blanco matched his season high with eight strikeouts. His lone blemish on the night was allowing a solo home run to Brett Wisely in the third inning. It was an encouraging bounceback effort from the 30-year-old after allowing eight runs and combining to strike out eight over his prior two starts coming into Tuesday's game.     • Stuck with loss in quality start
      Crawford (2-6) took the loss Tuesday, giving up four runs (two earned) on six hits and a walk over six innings as the Red Sox fell 4-1 to the Phillies. He struck out eight.

      Advice: The right-hander got very little support from his offense or defense, but the difference in the game was the two solo shots Crawford served up to Kyle Schwarber. The quality start was Crawford's sixth of the season, but his first in over a month, while the eight Ks were a season high. Since beating the Giants on May 1, he's gone 0-5 in seven starts with a 5.40 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 39:12 K:BB in 40 innings.
