    • Rare day off Wednesday
Garcia is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mariners.

Advice: Garcia's only other day off this season came in the second game of a doubleheader. He will give way to Adam Frazier on Wednesday, both at third base and in the leadoff spot. Rotowire.com Today, 9:47 am

    • Resting Wednesday
Yelich is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pirates.

Advice: With a lefty (Martin Perez) on the hill for Pittsburgh and the Brewers and Pirates getting together for a day game after a night game, the lefty-hitting Yelich will hit the bench in the series finale. Yelich's absence clears a spot in the outfield for Blake Perkins, who returns to the lineup after playing off the bench for the past two games. Rotowire.com Today, 8:41 am
    • Survives wild outing
Kopech allowed two walks and struck out one across a scoreless ninth inning in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Nationals.

Advice: Kopech entered the game in the ninth inning with a four-run lead and successfully closed out the game. It was his first appearance since May 9, and he struggled with his control, walking a pair and also throwing a pair of wild pitches. Despite being shaky in this appearance, Kopech has now allowed only one earned across his last 7.1 innings. Rotowire.com Today, 7:07 am

    • Won't start Wednesday
Bassitt won't start Wednesday's game against the Orioles at Camden Yards, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Bassitt was slated to start Tuesday in Baltimore before the game was postponed due to inclement weather. Rather than pushing each member of their rotation back a day in the pitching schedule to accommodate the postponement, the Blue Jays will have Yusei Kikuchi take the hill on normal rest Wednesday. As Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca notes, Bassitt has been hit hard by left-handed batters this season, and the lefty Kikuchi may give Toronto a better chance at coming away with a win against a lefty-heavy Baltimore lineup. The Blue Jays haven't announced their rotation plans for this weekend's series with the Rays, but expect Bassitt to start at least one of those games rather than having his turn skipped entirely. • Snaps power drought Tuesday
Harris went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Tuesday's 7-0 win over the Cubs.

Advice: The 23-year-old center fielder snapped a 20-game homer drought by taking Jameson Taillon deep in the fourth inning, kicking off a six-run frame that blew the game wide open. Harris is just one of a number of Atlanta hitters who have had sluggish starts to the season -- Tuesday's long ball was his first extra-base hit of any kind since April 26 -- but he may be heating up, as he has five hits and two walks in the last four games, lifting his slash line on the year to .260/.305/.390. • Fans six in no-decision
Civale came away with a no-decision in Tuesday's 5-4 extra-innings loss to the Red Sox, giving up three runs on five hits over five innings. He struck out six without walking a batter.

Advice: The right-hander kept Boston off the board his first time through the order, but a two-run double by Dominic Smith in the fourth inning and a solo shot by Ceddanne Rafaela in the fifth sent Civale packing after 76 pitches (53 strikes). He's failed to last more than five innings in any of his last five starts, a stretch in which he's stumbled to an 8.87 ERA and 1.71 WHIP, and his rotation spot could be in jeopardy if he doesn't turn things around by the time Ryan Pepiot (leg) and Shane Baz (elbow) are ready to rejoin the team. Civale lines up to make his next start on the road this weekend in Toronto. Rotowire.com Today, 12:49 am
    • Snaps out of funk
Garcia went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored during Tuesday's 7-4 loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Garcia entered Tuesday's game batting .154 in May but delivered his first homer since Apr. 28 and his first multi-hit game since Apr. 21. Even with the cold spell, Garcia is slashing .247/.297/.449 across 175 plate appearances with a .202 ISO, which aren't too far off his 2022 and 2023 numbers. Rotowire.com Today, 12:20 am
    • Does a bit of everything
Naylor went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run, two walks and a stolen base during Tuesday's 7-4 win over the Rangers.

Advice: Naylor took part in the Guardians' six-run second inning, plating Tyler Freeman and Andres Gimenez with a three-run blast. He also swiped his third bag of the campaign and boosted his walk rate to 10.4 percent. The 27-year-old has gone yard five times in his last 10 games and is batting .286 during that stretch. • Nabs 10th steal
Garcia went 1-for-4 with one RBI and a stolen base in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Mariners.

Advice: Garcia plated an insurance run with his eighth-inning single, and he swiped second shortly after the hit. The third baseman has two steals over the last three games and 10 thefts on the year. He's hit better in May, going 14-for-55 (.254) over 13 contests to lift his season slash line to .239/.288/.369 with four home runs, 25 RBI and 20 runs scored over 192 plate appearances.
