• Goes deep in Saturday's win
Swanson went 1-for-3 with a walk, a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Saturday's 7-5 win against Cincinnati.

Advice: Swanson started June off on the right foot after only going deep once in 17 games all of last month. The shortstop has only five total home runs this season, but he also missed some time with knee soreness, which likely contributed to the slow start. If fully healthy, Swanson has the ability to get going in the power department, as he hit 20 or more long balls in each of the last three seasons with the Cubs and Atlanta. • Playing in ACL
Perdomo started at shortstop and went 1-for-3 with a run scored for the Diamondbacks' entry in the Arizona Complex League on Saturday.

Advice: Perdomo, who played five innings in the field, made his second ACL appearance after getting four at-bats Friday as the designated hitter. The organization's plan calls for Perdomo to finish out the weekend in the ACL then move to a minor-league affiliate. A return later in the week is a possibility. Rotowire.com Today, 5:33 am

  • Contributes to win
Alexander started at second base and went 2-for-5 with a stolen base, an RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 10-5 win over the Mets.

Advice: Alexander made his first start in five days and had a hand in both runs scored in the sixth inning. After singling in a run, he stole second base, advanced to third on a wild pitch then scored on a throwing error by the catcher. Alexander's playing time dwindled during May -- a month in which he batted .184 with just 38 at-bats -- and he could be in danger of losing a roster spot once Geraldo Perdomo (knee) returns. • Huge day against Detroit
Valdez went 3-for-4 with a double, two home runs, three runs scored and three RBI in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Tigers.

Advice: Getting the start at DH and batting fifth, Valdez tormented Matt Olson and took him deep in the second and sixth innings, adding a two-bagger in between for good measure. It was the 25-year-old infielder's first start since being called back up from Triple-A Worcester on Wednesday, but with Vaughn Grissom (hamstring) headed back to the IL after leaving Saturday's game early, the path is clear for Valdez to see regular action at second base for at least the next couple weeks, perhaps on the strong side of a platoon with Romy Gonzalez. Valdez is batting just .179 (17-for-95) in the majors this year, but he's having a breakout season in the power department, slugging four homers in 31 games for Boston and adding six in 20 games for Worcester. • Sharp in third win
Criswell (3-2) picked up the win Saturday, allowing one run on four hits and a walk over five-plus innings. He struck out five.

Advice: He gave up a leadoff double to Matt Vierling and watched him come around to score, then had Vierling rip another two-bagger off him to begin the fifth inning, but Criswell shut down the Detroit offense in between. It was a strong rebound from the right-hander after he got tagged for seven runs in his next outing, and Criswell will take a 3.92 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 41:10 K:BB through 43.2 innings into his next start, which lines up to come on the road next weekend against the White Sox. • Pops second homer
Urshela went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: The third baseman made the final score a little more respectable by taking Brad Keller deep in the ninth inning. Urshela has only two homers on the season, but both have come during the current series in Boston, and he seems to have shaken off the rust following an IL stint due to a hamstring strain that cost him 21 games -- over the last seven contests, he's batting .348 (8-for-23). • Swanson hits fifth home run Saturday
Dansby Swanson went 1-for-3 with a walk, two runs scored and a two-run home run against the Reds on Saturday.

Advice: Swanson’s two-run home run in the eighth inning was the difference in the Cubs’ 7-5 victory over the Reds. It was his fifth home run of the season. Swanson is due to improve at the plate at some point as his .208 batting average is the worst of his career and his .131 ISO is his worst since his first full MLB campaign in 2017. • Enmanuel Valdez slugs two homers in victory
Enmanuel Valdez went 3-for-4 with two homers, a double, three runs scored, and three RBI to lead the Red Sox to a 6-3 win over the Tigers on Saturday.

Advice: Valdez had an outstanding day at the plate on Saturday. He led off the second inning with a solo homer off Reese Olson to put the Red Sox on the board. A double to lead off the fourth put him in position to score once again on a sacrifice fly. Valdez got to Olson once again in the sixth with a two-run blast for his first career multi-homer game. The 25-year-old second baseman was recently recalled from Triple-A for some depth after Tyler O’Neill landed on the injured list, but isn’t likely to get regular playing time to make him relevant in most leagues. He’s slashing .179/.206/.358 with four homers and 14 RBI across 103 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:41 pm
  • Gio Urshela hits two-run blast in loss to Boston
Gio Urshela with 2-for-4 with a two-run homer against the Red Sox on Saturday.

Advice: After knocking a base hit to lead off the seventh inning, Urshela cut into the Red Sox lead with a two-run homer off Brad Keller in the ninth. It was hit second homer of the season while slashing .276/.309/.371 across 110 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:39 pm
