    • Ends up on injured list
The Astros placed McCormick on the 10-day injured list Wednesday due to right hamstring discomfort, retroactive to Sunday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Manager Joe Espada said Wednesday that the Astros were debating placing McCormick on the injured list, and the team ultimately decided sitting him down for another week is the best course of action. The 29-year-old outfielder likely won't require more than a minimum stay on the IL, so he may be able to return to the lineup when eligible May 8. Jacob Amaya was recalled from Triple-A Sugar Land in a corresponding move. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:33 pm

Astros placed OF Chas McCormick on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to April 28, with a right hamstring strain.

Advice: Astros’ manager Joe Espada had mentioned earlier in the day that McCormick may need a stint on the injured list, and after attempting to go through a pregame workout on Wednesday the determination was made. Jacob Amaya was recalled from Triple-A Sugar Land in a corresponding move on Wednesday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:19 pm

    • Astros consider IL stint for McCormick (hamstring)
Astros’ manager Joe Espada admitted Wednesday that they’re considering a stint on the injured list for Chas McCormick (hamstring).

Advice: McCormick is available to pinch-hit on Wednesday, but it sounds like if he doesn’t improve very soon that he’ll wind up on the shelf for a while. Trey Cabbage was recalled from Triple-A Sugar Land on Wednesday to add depth to their outfield. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:10 pm

    • IL stint possible
McCormick (hamstring) remains out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians, and the Astros are considering placing him on the injured list, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Advice: No official move has been made just yet, but manager Joe Espada said there have been conversations about whether or not to put the 29-year-old on the shelf. Though McCormick won't start Wednesday, he'll be available to hit, per Brian McTaggart of MLB.com, despite still having issues with his hamstring. Joey Loperfido will get the nod in left field and bat eighth in McCormick's stead. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:15 pm

    • Hits game-tying homer
Castellanos went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored during Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Angels.

Advice: Castellanos kicked off a three-run ninth inning for Philadelphia, tagging Angels closer Carlos Estevez for a solo home run to knot the game up at 5-5. After starting the season batting .153 with two runs scored in his first 20 games, Castellanos has started to turn the corner, scoring nine times with a .262 batting average since. • Pops two homers Tuesday
Greene went 4-for-9 with a double, two home runs and three total RBI across both games of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Cardinals.

Advice: Greene provided all of Detroit's offense with a solo home run in the first game Tuesday, a 2-1 loss, but he really got going in the nightcap. He collected three hits in the 11-6 win, including a double and another homer, his seventh of the season. The talented young outfielder has pushed his OPS up to a robust .912, and the sky is the limit for Greene the rest of the way if he manages to stay healthy. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 7:37 pm
    • Riley Greene homers in both games of doubleheader
Riley Greene went 3-for-5 with a solo homer and two RBI to lead the Tigers to an 11-6 win over the Cardinals in the second game of Tuesday’s doubleheader.

Advice: Greene homered in both games of Tuesday’s twin bill at Comerica Park and is now up to seven round-trippers on the season. The 23-year-old former top prospect bashed a seventh-inning solo shot off reliever Giovanny Gallegos in the nightcap affair after taking veteran Kyle Gibson deep in the front end of the doubleheader. He’s been a certifiable on-base machine this season and appears to be finally putting it all together at the dish after struggling to stay healthy the last few years. Rotoworld Tuesday, 6:55 pm
    • Idle against lefty
Suwinski isn't starting Tuesday against the Athletics, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

Advice: Southpaw Alex Wood will toe the slab Tuesday for the A's, forcing Suwinski's left-handed bat out of the lineup. Edward Olivares will start in right field instead and bat fifth. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 3:32 pm
    • Chas McCormick out Tuesday with hamstring injury
Chas McCormick is absent from Tuesday’s lineup due to hamstring soreness.

Advice: McCormick sat out Sunday’s series finale in Mexico City and will remain on the shelf for Tuesday’s series opener against the Guardians. His absence will open the door for top prospect Joey Loperfido to take over in left field on Tuesday night. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. Rotoworld Tuesday, 2:51 pm
