    • Sitting out Monday
McMahon is out of the lineup for Monday's contest against the Dodgers.

Advice: The lefty-hitting McMahon is getting just his third day off of the season with a left-hander (James Paxton) on the mound for the Dodgers. Alan Trejo will step in at third base in place of McMahon, who has started to heat back up over the past week with seven hits -- including two home runs -- in his last 20 at-bats. • Two doubles, stolen base in win
McMahon went 2-for-5 with two doubles, an RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 16-4 win over the Pirates.

Advice: McMahon doubled in his third trip to the plate and advanced to third on a sacrifice fly before stealing home to increase Colorado's lead to five runs. The third baseman would add an RBI double in the eighth, giving him his sixth extra-base hit over his last four games. McMahon has also recorded multiple hits and scored two runs in three of his last four contests. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:33 am

    • Clubs sixth homer
Burger went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Thursday's loss to the Mets.

Advice: The third baseman appears to be breaking out of his early season slump. Burger has hit safely in 11 of his last 12 games, slashing .333/.373/.479 over that stretch and going yard twice in the last four contests. His 31.4 percent strikeout rate during that time is still a concern, however. On the season, the 28-year-old is batting .228 with only six homers in 47 games, a far cry from the 34 in 141 games he slugged in 2023. Rotowire.com Friday, 8:40 am

    • Burger blasts sixth home run Thursday
Jake Burger went 1-for-3 with a walk and a home run against the Mets on Thursday.

Advice: Burger’s home run was just his sixth of the season in 47 games after homering 34 times in 141 games last year. His .128 ISO isn’t even half of the .268 ISO he had last year. On the bright side, he’s 21-for-64 (.328) with three home runs in his last 16 games to bring his average up to .222. Rotoworld Thursday, 7:00 pm

    • Homers again Wednesday
McMahon went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a double and an additional run scored in a 17-9 loss to the Twins on Wednesday.

Advice: McMahon cut the Rockies' deficit to 5-2 in the fourth inning with a 427-foot blast off Pablo Lopez, his 12th homer of the year. The 29-year-old McMahon looks to have broken out of a prolonged slump -- he's gone 4-for-7 with two doubles and two home runs in his last two games after struggling to a .115 average (7-for-61) in his previous 17 contests. Overall, McMahon's now slashing .267/.350/.462 with 36 RBI and 35 runs scored across 288 plate appearances this year. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:43 pm

    • Ryan McMahon homers in second straight contest
Ryan McMahon went 2-for-3 with a solo homer on Wednesday in the Rockies’ loss to the Twins.

Advice: McMahon has snapped out of an extended tailspin at the dish with homers in back-to-back contests after taking Twins ace Pablo López deep in the fourth inning of this one for his 12th round-tripper of the season. The 29-year-old infielder has been a reliable power source, but his batting average has been all over the place as he oscillates between hot and cold stretches. Rotoworld Wednesday, 2:05 pm

    • Notches pair of hits
McMahon went 2-for-4 with a double, a solo homer and an additional run during Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Twins.

Advice: McMahon generated his first multi-hit game since May 22, scoring in the sixth inning after reaching on a double and then swatting a solo homer off Cole Sands in the eighth inning. The third baseman had been in a rut prior to Tuesday's game, going 2-for-29 with two runs and no RBI in the past seven games. Still, McMahon owns a .788 OPS with 11 home runs across 66 games this year. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 10:40 pm

    • McMahon hits 11th homer of season vs. Twins
Ryan McMahon went 2-for-4 with a double and a home run in Tuesday’s win over the Twins.

Advice: Both of McMahon’s hits went for extra bases, but it was his homer in the eighth inning that stretched the Rockies’ lead to 5-2. It was McMahon’s 11th homer on the season and his first of June after he slugged six in May. He’s slashing a meager .154/.214/.282 on the month and has seen his average regress back to the norm after hitting over .300 the first month of the season.

    • Ryan McMahon in 7-for-57 slump
Ryan McMahon went 0-for-4 on Sunday, leaving him 7-for-57 in his last 16 games.

Advice: McMahon’s OPS has dropped from .891 to .780 during the stretch, putting him much closer to his usual career numbers. McMahon’s exit velocity numbers are better than ever, and there’s reason to think he’s a truly improved player this season. Still, there was little chance he was going to keep batting .300, as he did for most of the first eight weeks. Rotoworld Jun 9, 3:49 pm
