    • Picks up eighth save
Jansen collected the save Tuesday, allowing one hit and no walks over a scoreless inning against the Rays. He didn't generate a strikeout.

Advice: Jansen hadn't pitched since allowing a pair of runs and taking a loss May 16 and was able to shake off the rust after allowing a leadoff double to Isaac Paredes in the ninth, retiring three straight batters to pick up his eighth save of the season. The veteran closer owns a 5.14 ERA this month and has struck out seven batters in 7.0 innings. Rotowire.com Today, 9:37 pm
    • Clase notches league-leading 15th save
Emmanuel Clase pitched a scoreless ninth inning to earn a save in the Guardians’ 7-6 win over the Mets on Tuesday.

Advice: Clase allowed one hit and didn’t register a strikeout, but he got the job done for his league-leading 15th save. With a 0.36 ERA to go along with it, anybody who used an early-round draft pick on Clase is feeling pretty good about that decision right now. Rotoworld Today, 6:44 pm
    • Devers’ home run streak ends at six games
Rafael Devers went 1-for-3 with a run scored in Tuesday’s win over the Rays.

Advice: Devers’ home run streak officially ends at six games, but he did manage to push his hitting streak to 11 games in the 5-2 win over the Rays. Devers’ lone hit came in the second inning, as he later came around to score on a Vaughn Grissom single. Devers has totaled 13 hits in his last 44 at-bats and is batting .286 on the month. We’ll see if he can stay hot and get another home run streak going in his next outing. Rotoworld Today, 6:18 pm

    • Up to 15 saves
Clase earned the save in Tuesday's 7-6 win over the Mets, working around a hit in a scoreless ninth inning.

Advice: Clase's now pitched three consecutive days while locking down saves in back-to-back outings. He'd allow a one-out single to Francisco Lindor on Tuesday before inducing a game-ending double play off the bat of Pete Alonso. Clase lowered his ERA to a pristine 0.36 with a 0.59 WHIP and 24:2 K:BB across 25.1 innings while converting a league-leading 15 saves in 18 opportunities. Rotowire.com Today, 6:08 pm
    • Willson Contreras optimistic on earlier return
Willson Contreras (fractured forearm) has already had his cast removed.

Advice: The exact date is uncertain, but Contreras has been cast-less since at least last Friday, May 17. It may have been as early as May 11. “I’m really happy with how the process is going and how well I’m recovering,” Contreras said late last week. “The way I feel, I could say, it’s not going to be (until) the All-Star break. It could be earlier than that. I’m not going to say something that is going to get above the doctors’ opinion, but if you’re asking me how I’m feeling, I’m feeling great.” The Cardinals have yet to comment on Contreras potentially beating his All-Star week return projection, but it is now definitely within the realm of possibility. • Cleared for batting practice
Conforto (hamstring) has been cleared to take on-field batting practice, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Advice: Conforto landed on the 10-day injured list just over a week ago a right hamstring strain. Taking batting practice is certainly a positive step in his recovery, although running will be a bigger hurdle for him to clear and it's uncertain when he might be ready for that. Conforto is eligible for activation Wednesday, but it would appear he'll need a little more time than that. Rotowire.com Today, 2:02 pm

    • Michael Conforto (hamstring) resumes hitting
Michael Conforto (hamstring) has resumed hitting.

Advice: Conforto is expected to ramp up his running progression this week as he continues to recover from a right hamstring strain that sent him to the injured list back on May 12. The 31-year-old slugger, who was off to a really strong start this season, should be ready to return in late May or early June. Rotoworld Today, 1:51 pm

    • Taking seat Tuesday
Haniger is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Yankees.

Advice: The 33-year-old won't start for the second time in the last four games, leaving Dominic Canzone in right field Tuesday. Haniger has generated a hit in each of his last five starts. Rotowire.com Today, 1:13 pm

    • On bench again
Kepler is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Nationals.

Advice: The Twins are facing a lefty for the second straight day, meaning Kepler will give way to the righty-hitting Manuel Margot in right field. Kepler is slashing .303/.352/.505 across 108 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Today, 11:29 am
