    • Pasquantino drives in lone run for Royals in loss
      Vinnie Pasquantino went 1-for-4 with an RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Marlins.

      Advice: Pasquantino singled in the first inning to score Maikel Garcia from third after Garcia walked to kick off the inning and subsequently stole two bases. It would be the only run the Royals would score on the night as they found themselves in a pitching duel between Yonny Chirinos and Seth Lugo.     • Aaron Judge hits grand slam in loss
      Aaron Judge went 2-for-3 with a walk and five RBI in a loss to the Mets on Tuesday.

      Advice: Judge had an RBI double in the seventh inning with the Yankees down by seven but then crushed a 390-foot grand slam at 109.4 mph that brought the Yankees within two. While the bottom of the Yankees lineup may not be particularly deep, they still have Aaron Judge, which will always make them a threat. The big right fielder now has 29 home runs and 75 RBI already this season, which seems like video game numbers. You’re feeling great if you were able to take him with your first-round pick.     • Luis Castillo chased in 6th in loss to Rays
      Luis Castillo allowed four runs on five hits in 5 1/3 innings in a loss to the Rays on Tuesday.

      Advice: The Mariners ace struck out four and walked four on the day. He wasn’t sharp, with just a 44 percent zone rate on the day, but he had kept it together until the sixth inning. With the game tied at two, Castillo got one quick out but walked the next two hitters and was chased from the game. Michael Baumann then allowed a triple and a home run to bring in both inherited runners. Castillo had nine whiffs on 44 swings for a 20 percent whiff rate and 29 percent CSW on the day. We can probably chalk this up to a poor start, but it’s his second straight one so we’d like to see him right the ship next time out. The only problem is that the start comes against the Orioles.     • Kyle Tucker (shin) ‘close’ to resuming running
      Kyle Tucker (shin) progressed to taking swings on Sunday and could resume running within the next few days.

      Advice: The revelation comes courtesy of a team statement. It’s a welcome relief for fantasy managers as we were honestly starting to wonder whether Tucker was dealing with something more serious than merely a shin contusion. He’ll need at least a couple minor league rehab contests to get back up to speed after he’s ready to get back into game action, but it doesn’t sound like he’s too far away from making it back to Houston.     • Takes swings, could run soon
      Tucker (shin) took swings off a tee Sunday and could be cleared to begin running soon, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

      Advice: Tucker's recovery from a right shin contusion has dragged on longer than anticipated, but it looks like he's finally turned a corner as he resumes baseball activities. He's more than three weeks removed from suffering the injury and still has some hoops to jump through, so he could require a rehab assignment before rejoining the Astros' active roster.       Massey will be available only as a designated hitter for the time being as he returns from a back injury, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

      Advice: Massey was activated from the 10-day injured list Monday after missing time with a low-back ligament sprain, which was the second time this season he's missed time with a back issue. While the 26-year-old is feeling good physically, he needs some time before he's ready to play second base again. The Royals shifted Maikel Garcia over to second base and started CJ Alexander at third base Monday.       Megill earned a save against Texas on Monday, striking out two batters in a scoreless ninth inning.

      Advice: Megill hit a batter with two outs in his inning of work, but it didn't cost him any runs. The right-hander was able to notch his 10th straight successful save conversion -- he hasn't blown an opportunity since May 20. Megill has proven to be a more-than-adequate fill-in for rehabbing closer Devin Williams (back), as he's tied for eighth in MLB with 16 saves (in 17 opportunities) while posting a 1.85 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 30:7 K:BB through 24.1 innings.
