    • Winds up with win
Green (2-1) took the win Sunday against Seattle, allowing two hits and a walk with two strikeouts across a scoreless inning.

Advice: Green entered the game in the bottom of the ninth inning with the score 4-4, and although he let runners reach second and third with one out, Green was able to send the game to extra innings, where the Blue Jays would deliver Green his second victory. The 33-year-old has allowed just one run in his last 9.2 innings and has been the Blue Jays' impromptu closer in the wake of injuries to Jordan Romano (elbow) and Yimi Garcia (elbow). Prior to being shelved, Garcia was firmly ahead of Green for save chances, but with Green in the midst of an exceptional season highlighted by what would be a career-best 1.57 ERA, the closing role may no longer be as cut and dry. • Picks up seventh steal
Burleson went 2-for-3 with a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's 8-3 win over the Nationals.

Advice: Burleson has picked up multiple hits in three of his last six games. He's also stolen two bases in his last three games and five over his last 15. The 25-year-old's impressive first half has been a key factor in the Cardinals turnaround as he's settled into the second spot in the lineup. Burleson is hitting .281/.318/.455 with 13 home runs and 42 RBI over 82 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:37 pm

    • Tallies two hits, swipes base
Keith went 2-for-4 with a walk and an RBI in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Reds. He also stole a base.

Advice: Keith extended his hitting streak to five games, and he's gone 9-for-21 during the stretch with three home runs and a stolen base. The 22-year-old is starting to settle in at the MLB level offensively, plus he's running a bit more than anticipated, as he never stole more than four bases in a season during his time in the minors. Keith is still known more for his power than his speed, but any contributions in the steals category is a welcome bonus. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:58 pm

    • Tagged with third loss
Herz (1-3) took the loss Sunday against the Cardinals. He allowed five runs (four earned) on five hits, two walks and four strikeouts over 4.1 innings.

Advice: Herz pitched a clean first and third inning but ran into trouble the rest of the time before getting pulled in the fifth. His rollercoaster rookie campaign continues as he's scattered impressive starts, like the two with double-digit strikeouts, with rough outings like the one on Sunday. The 23-year-old has a 5.17 ERA with 41 strikeouts over 31.1 innings this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:56 pm

    • DJ Herz yanked in fifth inning against Cardinals
DJ Herz allowed four earned runs in 4 1/3 innings on Sunday against the Cardinals. He walked two, struck out four, and took the loss.

Advice: There was a lot to like from this start by Herz despite a rather innocuous box score. He threw his second hardest pitch of the season at 96.0 MPH and missed plenty of bats with his fastball. He also spotted some excellent changeups against right-handed batters. He struggled to command his slider and cutter though and was inefficient as a result. There was also some bad luck involved as the Cardinals’ first rally was spurned by a bloop in front of James Woods that turned into a Nolan Gorman RBI double. Still, Herz is a fun pitcher who could be a tweak or two away from going on a run. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:47 pm

    • Colt Keith on base three times Sunday
Colt Keith went 2-for-4 with an RBI, a walk, and a stolen base on Sunday against the Reds.

Advice: Keith drove in a critical insurance run for the Tigers in the seventh inning just before the Reds rallied for a run of their own. The Tigers continue to show confidence in Keith as he’s batted second in 12 of his last 15 starts. He took a step backwards in June after a torrid May and could still have another gear to hit. • Getting mental day off
Garcia is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays.

Advice: According to Kennedi Landry of MLB.com, manager Bruce Bochy said that Garcia isn't dealing with an injury and is getting "more of a mental day than a physical day" as the Rangers wrap up their series with the Rays. Travis Jankowski will occupy right field in place of Garcia, who has gone hitless over 10 at-bats in his last three starts to bring his season-long batting average down to .215. • Checking back into lineup
Smith (glute) will start at third base and bat third in Sunday's game against the Rays.

Advice: Smith had been out of the lineup for the past two days with glute tightness, but he'll be ready to give it a go for the series finale. The 26-year-old will carry a four-game hitting streak into Sunday's contest and is slashing .291/.391/.509 overall wit three home runs, nine RBI and seven runs in his last 15 games. • Josh Smith returning to lineup Sunday vs. Rays
Josh Smith (lower body) is hitting third and playing third base against the Rays on Sunday.

Advice: Smith missed Friday and Saturday’s game due to glute tightness, but he’s well enough to man the hot corner for Sunday’s finale against the Rays with the Rangers looking to procure a sweep. Jonathan Ornelas retreats to the bench with Smith back in action. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:09 am
