      Advice: Smith returned to the starting lineup Tuesday after battling a hamstring issue since late last week. He was given a soft re-entry as the DH and could return to his normal duties as the fill-in third baseman for the injured Josh Jung (wrist). The surprisingly productive Smith has been a boon to the Rangers' offense which has missed Jung's bat.       Advice: Doyle probably still shouldn’t be batting second for a quality major league team, but he’s made big gains this season, particularly in cutting his K:BB ratio from nearly 7:1 last year to slightly less than 3:1 this season.       Advice: We’re still not really buying into Smith’s terrific start to the season, but there’s little doubt that he’ll remain in the Rangers lineup after Josh Jung returns. He’s batting .298/.386/.451 through 247 at-bats, even though his exit velocity numbers are actually worse than when he hit .185/.304/.328 last season.       Alec Burleson went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and two runs scored in a loss to the Marlins on Tuesday.

      Advice: It was Burleson’s 10th home run of the season to go along with 25 RBIs. It’s also his fifth home run in June alone. The 25-year-old continues to make a lot of contact while hitting near the top of the Cardinal’s lineup and with the power starting to tick up, he deserves to be in fantasy lineups in almost all league types.       Trout (knee) said Tuesday that his recovery from meniscus surgery has gone slower than expected and that he's without an official timetable for return, Sam Blum of The Athleticreports.

      Advice: The 32-year-old underwent the procedure to repair a torn meniscus in early May and has yet to start up a running program. Trout is currently trying to find exercises that allow him to progress with minimal soreness, so he doesn't appear particularly close to baseball work.
