    • Jorge Soler doubles twice in loss to Dodgers
      Jorge Soler went 2-for-5 with a pair of doubles, a run scored and an RBI as the Giants fell to the Dodgers in extra innings on Saturday evening in San Francisco.

      Advice: Soler led off the home half of the first inning with a double off of Tyler Glasnow, then scored the team’s first run on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Heliot Ramos. Soler also drove in a run of his own with an RBI double off of Glasnow in the third inning, tying the game at 2-2. Perhaps staying in the leadoff spot is the way to get him going.       Advice: Massey’s home run was his seventh of the season. He’s quietly been one of the best hitters for the Royals this year. His home run off Tanner Bibee gave the Royals a 2-1 lead in the second inning, but it wouldn’t last. Massey is hitting .293 with an .843 OPS and 24 RBI in 116 at-bats with Kansas City this year.       Castillo will start Sunday's game against the Twins, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

      Advice: Castillo was initially projected to start Tuesday at Baltimore but with Bryan Woo (hamstring) hitting the IL, Castillo will pitch Sunday on regular rest.       Aaron Judge went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a walk against the Blue Jays on Saturday.

      Advice: Judge knocked a base hit in the first inning, then drew an intentional walk in the third. With another single in the fifth, Judge drove in the first run of the game for New York.       Advice: Winker is back in left field and batting third for Saturday’s showdown after suffering a right knee contusion during the bottom of the first inning of Friday’s game when he attempted to catch a fly ball near the left-field wall. His right cleat got caught in the turf, causing him to stumble and fall into the wall, which led to his exit from the contest.       Stanek (5-1) got the extra-inning win over the Twins on Friday, firing a perfect 10th inning.

      Advice: Stanek followed Andres Munoz after the latter had fired a perfect ninth frame, and the former was able to match his high-leverage mate in caliber of performance while also earning the win. Stanek needed just nine pitches, six which he located for strikes, to get through his inning, setting down Max Kepler, Manuel Margot and Christian Vazquez in order. The veteran right-hander's pristine effort was an extension of his recent run of excellence, one that's seen him pitch 8.2 consecutive scoreless innings during which he's generated an 11:1 K:BB, two wins, two holds and three saves across 10 appearances.       Judge went 3-for-5 with three runs and two RBI in a 16-5 win against the Blue Jays on Friday.

      Advice: It was unusual for Judge rack up three hits without any going for extra bases -- coming into Friday, 54 of his 88 hits on the season had been of the extra-base variety. Nonetheless, the slugger's ninth-inning, two-run single resulted in a sixth game with at least one RBI over his past 10 contests.
