    • Nightengale: Phillies are interested in Rooker
According to USA Today’s Bob Nightengale, the Phillies “are keeping a close eye on Oakland A’s left fielder Brent Rooker.”

Advice: The Phillies have not gotten much from their left field spot in 2024, which Brandon Marsh has regularly occupied. On the year, the Phillies rank 26th in OPS among left fielders this season, which Rooker would likely improve. He would also add another big power bat with some swing-and-miss in his game but could make the Phillies lineup even deeper for a playoff run. It would obviously be a big boost to his fantasy value if he were traded to Philadelphia. Rotoworld 51 minutes ago

    • Extremely efficient versus Yankees
Crawford (5-7) earned the win Sunday against the Yankees after tossing seven shutout innings while allowing just four hits. He struck out four.

Advice: Crawford was incredibly efficient Sunday night, needing just 68 pitches to coast through seven frames while throwing 54 strikes. Crawford's never pitched into the eighth before, and while he certainly could've based on pitch count, manager Alex Cora decided to turn to the bullpen for the final six outs. Crawford contributed to shutting out the Yankees offense for the first time since April and now owns an 11:0 K:BB over his last 13 innings after back-to-back starts without issuing a walk. The 28-year-old now owns a 3.24 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 106:28 K:BB in 105.2 innings and will look to finish out the first half strong as he prepares to face the Royals at home in a weekend series. • Sits out Sunday with back issue
Fairchild was out of the lineup for Sunday's 5-1 loss to the Tigers due to a back injury, Gordon Wittenmyer of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Advice: Fairchild played all nine innings of Saturday's 5-3 loss, but he apparently picked up the back injury at some point along the way. Though the Reds are seemingly viewing Fairchild as day-to-day, his injury coupled with Nick Martini's (thumb) move to the 10-day injured list perhaps explains why the Reds dealt reliever Alex Young to the Giants on Sunday in exchange for outfielder Austin Slater. Fairchild has been serving as the Reds' primary option in center field in place of TJ Friedl (hamstring), who looks to be about a week or two away from coming off the 10-day IL. • Goes deep in loss
Mendick went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer, two runs scored and a walk in Sunday's loss to Miami.

Advice: Mendick opened the game's scoring with his two-run shot in the fourth inning. It was his third long ball of the year and first since May 26. The utility infielder is slashing just .200/.248/.328 with 10 extra-base hits and 13 runs scored through 134 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:30 pm

    • Kutter Crawford goes seven scoreless to beat Yanks
Kutter Crawford delivered a brilliant performance in Sunday night’s victory over the Yankees, scattering four hits over seven scoreless innings of work.

Advice: The 28-year-old right-hander punched out four batters on the evening and didn’t walk a batter. He needed just 68 pitches (54 strikes) to get through his seven innings. Crawford has never pitched into the eighth inning in his big-league career though, and the Red Sox trusted their bullpen to get the final six outs. Crawford generated nine whiffs on the night while posting an elite CSW of 38 percent. He’ll attempt to finish the first half strong as he carries a stellar 3.24 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 106/28 K/BB ratio (105 2/3 innings) into Saturday’s matchup against the Royals. • Has three hits, two RBI in win
Lindor went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a walk in Sunday's win over the Pirates.

Advice: Lindor delivered a clutch hit off Aroldis Chapman with the bases loaded and two outs in the ninth to give his team the win on Sunday. Lindor continues his resurgence over the last two months, hitting .277/.335/.492 with 10 homers, 34 RBI and 12 stolen bases over his last 58 games. After a forgetful April, the four-time All-Star has 22 multi-hit games since the beginning of May, which is tied for the fifth most in MLB in that span. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:56 pm
    • Francisco Lindor puts Mets ahead in ninth inning
Francisco Lindor went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI, a run scored, and a walk in the Mets’ dramatic 3-2 win over the Pirates.

Advice: Lindor had another fantastic game. His two-run single in the ninth inning off of Aroldis Chapman put the Mets ahead after just falling behind in the eighth inning. He continues to stack games like this one and his full-season slash line has ticked up to .250/.316/.447 with 26 doubles, 15 homers, and 16 stolen bases after a miserable start to the season. He is as steady and reliable as they come. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:23 pm
    • Jesse Winker doubles twice in loss
Jesse Winker went 2-for-4 with two doubles, a run scored, and an RBI on Sunday against the Cardinals.

Advice: Winker continues to mash. His two doubles took his season total to 17 and he has six in his last 23 plate appearances. It was bizarre to watch his downturn over the past few seasons but he seems back to being the patient, all-fields hitter he was when he was at his best. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:48 pm

    • Stuart Fairchild held out with back issue Sunday
Reds’ manager David Bell told reporters after Sunday’s loss to the Tigers that Stuart Fairchild was held out of the team’s lineup due to a back issue.

Advice: It doesn’t sound like anything serious that’s going to require a stint on the injured list, but it’s something that fantasy managers should at least monitor heading into next week. The 28-year-old outfielder should be considered day-to-day for the time being. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:32 pm
