  • Kiner-Falefa drives in one in win over White Sox
    Isiah Kinder-Falefa went 1-for-4 with a double and RBI in Tuesday’s win over the White Sox.

    Advice: Kiner-Falefa extended his hitting streak to seven games when he singled to drive in George Springer in the top of the second inning. Kiner-Falefa now has nine homers and 15 RBI on the season and has slashed a solid .280/.304/.467 this month.     Garrett Hampson went 1-for-3 with one RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Twins.

    Advice: Hampson drove in the Royals’ first run of the night when he singled home Nick Loftin in the fifth inning. It was a tough evening for the Royals, as the heart of their order failed to record a hit, leaving Hampson and the lower third of the order to act as run support.   • Miguel Vargas connects for first homer in victory
    Miguel Vargas slugged a solo homer to lead the Dodgers to a 3-0 win in the second game of Tuesday’s doubleheader against the Mets.

    Advice: Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has been reluctant to give Vargas opportunities so far as he made just his third start in this one since being summoned back on May 17 from Triple-A Oklahoma City. He connected for his first round-tripper of the season when he took Mets starter José Quintana deep in the sixth inning. The 24-year-old should probably get a longer look in Los Angeles, but it doesn’t sound like that’s in the cards at the moment, unless he’s going to force them to keep his bat in the lineup.     Geraldo Perdomo (knee) is close to starting a minor league rehab assignment.

    Advice: Perdomo will head to the nearby Rookie-level Arizona Complex League for a handful of contests before shifting to facing some higher-level competition at Triple-A Reno.     The Yankees reinstated LeMahieu (foot) from the 60-day injured list Tuesday.

    Advice: A fracture of LeMahieu's right foot has kept him on the injured list all season, but he will return to make his season debut Tuesday while starting at third base and batting ninth. The 35-year-old veteran will act as New York's primary third baseman going forward, though he's expected to receive a handful of off days initially as the Yankees attempt to ease him back into action.     Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said Tuesday that Perdomo (knee) is expected to play in live games "very, very shortly," Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.

    Advice: The 24-year-old has already taken live at-bats but has yet to run thus bases, so he still has a bit of work to do in his rehab program before seeing game action. Lovullo said in mid-May that Perdomo was expected to return from the injured list in a couple weeks, but it instead appears the shortstop's absence will extend into June.
