• Optioned to Triple-A
The Reds optioned Capel to Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday.

Advice: Capel was up with the big club for two weeks but accrued just eight plate appearances. He's being replaced on the roster by Nick Martini. Rotowire.com Today, 10:47 am

  • Records first win Monday
Bazardo (1-0) picked up the win against the Yankees on Monday, allowing an earned run on a hit and a walk over 1.2 innings.

Advice: Bazardo picked up what was a fairly improbable victory, as he actually allowed the Yankees' lead to expand to 4-1 in the eighth after wiggling out of an inherited bases-loaded jam in the seventh by inducing an inning-ending double play from Giancarlo Stanton. However, the Mariners put together a four-run rally in the ninth, giving them a one-run lead that would stick. Bazardo has now allowed at least one run in three of his first four appearances of the season and has issued a walk in all of them, so he remains a shaky option for the time being despite Monday's success. • Moving rehab to Double-A
The Yankees transferred Dominguez's (elbow) rehab assignment to Double-A Somerset on Tuesday.

Advice: The 21-year-old began the rehab stint with Single-A Tampa last week and will move up to Somerset after going 5-for-13 with a double and four walks in four games. Dominguez is expected to be optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre once he completes the rehab assignment since there's no opening for him in New York's current outfield alignment. • Tracking toward May 28 return
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said in an interview on the Talkin' Yanks podcast of Jomboy Media on Tuesday that he expects LeMahieu (foot) to be activated from the 10-day injured list on May 28.

Advice: LeMahieu went 2-for-3 with three walks in six plate appearances during his two rehab games with Double-A Somerset following the resumption of his rehab assignment and is slated to be transferred to Single-A Hudson Valley to continue rehabbing. Boone also reiterated that LeMahieu will be the team's primary third baseman when he returns, although the plan is to mix in more off days for him initially since he's missed so much time. LeMahieu is coming back from a non-displaced fracture of his right foot. Rotowire.com Today, 10:32 am

  • In-game replacement in IL return
Crawford (oblique), activated from the injured list earlier in the day, entered Monday's win over the Yankees as a pinch hitter in the eighth inning and remained in the game at shortstop, going 0-for-2.

Advice: Crawford struck out swinging in his pinch-hit appearance and subsequently flied out to center to close out the ninth. The veteran shortstop was logging his first game action since April 23, and given his in-game appearance and ability to play defense Monday, he's a likely candidate to return to the starting nine Tuesday. • Slated to return Wednesday
Yankees manager Aaron Boone confirmed in an interview on the Talkin' Yanks podcast of Jomboy Media on Tuesday that Kahnle (shoulder) will be activated from the 15-day injured list Wednesday.

Advice: Boone noted that while he will not use Kahnle on back-to-back days initially, the plan is to deploy the reliever in high-leverage situations right away. Kahnle has been out all season due to a right shoulder injury that dates back to last year. He struck out 11 over five perfect innings on his rehab assignment. Rotowire.com Today, 10:26 am

  • Knocks fourth homer Monday
Canzone went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and an RBI sacrifice fly in a win over the Yankees on Monday.

Advice: Canzone was instrumental to the one-run win, igniting the Mariners' comeback from a 3-0 deficit with his 426-foot solo shot to center in the eighth inning. The 26-year-old then delivered a game-tying sacrifice fly in the following frame, giving him his third multi-RBI effort of the season. Canzone's homer also was his first since April 9, with a month-long stay on the injured list due to a shoulder injury largely to blame for the extended drought. Rotowire.com Today, 10:22 am
  • Report: Anderson coming off injured list Tuesday
Isaac Azout of SBNation reports that the Marlins will activate Tim Anderson (back) off the 10-day injured list Tuesday.

Advice: Anderson was placed on the injured list May 13 with lower back tightness, so the shortstop will end up missing a little over a week. He’ll take over starting shortstop duties, and Tristan Gray will be optioned back to Triple-A in the corresponding move per Azout. Rotoworld Today, 9:55 am

  • Will be activated Tuesday
The Marlins will activate Anderson (back) from the 10-day injured list ahead of Tuesday's contest against the Brewers, Isaac Azout of SBNation.com reports.

Advice: Anderson will have missed just the minimum 10 days while dealing with lower-back tightness. He played in two rehab games with Triple-A Jacksonville, going 4-for-9 with a home run. Anderson has shown no signs of figuring things out at the plate with the Marlins, however, as he will return to a woeful .197/.234/.221 batting line with a 29.7 percent strikeout rate.
