    • Moves to upper half of order
Candelario batted third and went 1-for-4 for with a walk, a triple, an RBI and was caught stealing in Thursday's 6-4 extra-inning loss to the Padres.

Advice: Candelario tripled a run home in the first inning then was caught stealing home on a double-steal attempt to end the inning. He was later removed for a pinch runner in the 10th inning after he had walked. A recent hot stretch prompted a move up the batting order; Candelario has batted third or fourth in four straight contests. Rotowire.com Today, 4:30 am

    • Homers again Thursday
Judge went 2-for-2 with a solo homer, a double, two walks and a second run scored in Thursday's 5-0 win over the Mariners.

Advice: Judge extended the Yankees lead to 2-0 with a 414-foot shot off Luis Castillo in the third inning, his 15th long ball this year, tied for third-most in the majors, and his second in as many days. Judge has been on a tear this month, going 27-for-63 (.429) with nine homers and 17 RBI in his last 19 games. After a slow start to the season, he's boosted his slash line to .276/.416/.611 with 35 RBI, 34 runs scored and a pair of stolen bases. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:23 pm

    • Rays waiting on Josh Lowe (side) IL decision
Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports the Rays will wait until Friday before making a decision whether Josh Lowe (side) will require a trip to the injured list.

Advice: Topkin added that an injured list stint seems likely, but Tampa Bay wants to wait and see how he feels on Friday before making a final decision. Rays manager Kevin Cash delivered an ominous “not ideal” statement to reporters following Lowe’s early exit from Wednesday’s game against the Red Sox due to right side tightness. The 26-year-old five-category impact fantasy contributor dealt with a similar issue back in spring training and underwent an MRI on Thursday to determine the severity of the issue. There should be an update on his status at some point prior to Friday’s series opener against the Royals. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:15 pm

    • Aaron Judge hits 15th homer in win over Mariners
Aaron Judge hit a solo homer in a 5-0 win over the Mariners on Thursday.

Advice: Judge also walked twice and scored after one of those free passes. The slugger slaughtered a Luis Castillo offering for his 15th homer of the season and it gave New York a 2-0 lead. Remember when Judge was scuffling? We don’t either. He remains as reliable a power threat as there is in the sport. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:22 pm

    • Bound for Triple-A
The Pirates optioned Suwinski to Triple-A Indianapolis on Thursday.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Suwinski has mostly operated as a strong-side platoon outfielder this season, but even against right-handed pitching, he's struggled to a .144/.256/.261 slash line over 129 plate appearances. The Pirates will send Suwinski to Indianapolis with the hope that he refines his approach and regains some confidence at the plate, but a return to the big leagues likely won't be imminent until he starts producing at Triple-A. In the meantime, Suwinski's absence could reopen more playing time at first base for Rowdy Tellez while Connor Joe takes on more starts out of the corner outfield. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:38 am

    • Jack Suwinski sent down the minor leagues
Pirates optioned OF Jack Suwinski to Triple-A Indianapolis.

Advice: It’s a surprising turn of events for the 25-year-old who posted 26 home runs and 13 steals in 144 games in 2023. Suwinski was attempting to make clear changes to his approach in 2024, being more aggressive in the zone as he tried to combat his high called-strike rate from 2023. Unfortunately, that aggressive approach also led to Suwinski swinging more at pitches outside the strike zone, so while his swinging strike rate and strikeout rate went down, his quality of contact also suffered. He had just a .174/.268/.297 slash line with a 6.1 percent barrel rate that was way down from his 15.7 percent mark last year. Perhaps an approach change in the minor leagues will unlock a strong second half for Suwinski as it did for Ke’Bryan Hayes last year. Only, that coach no longer works for the Pirates. • Launches fourth home run
Correa went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Nationals.

Advice: Correa extended Minnesota's lead to 2-0 with two outs in the sixth inning with a solo shot off Jake Irvin, his fourth of the year and second in three days. The 29-year-old Correa has a hit in five straight games, going 5-for-17 with a 1.133 OPS in that span. He's now slashing .268/.362/.455 on the season with 13 RBI and 18 runs scored through 130 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:40 am

    • Absent from lineup
Suwinski is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Giants, Andrew Destin of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Advice: The Giants are using a left-handed pitcher in Erik Miller to open Thursday's contest, so the lefty-hitting Suwinski will begin the game on the bench. Suwinski will be a candidate to enter mid-game if the Giants turn to a right-hander out of the bullpen. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:26 am

    • Christian Walker homers in win over Dodgers
Christian Walker went 2-for-4 with a solo homer, a double, and two runs scored on Wednesday against the Dodgers.

Advice: Walker led off the sixth inning with a solo homer off Elieser Hernández to extend the Diamondbacks’ lead. He later doubled in the eighth and scored on a passed ball. The 33-year-old first baseman is pacing right in line with his 2023 season, hitting .257/.358/.458 with 10 homers and 32 RBI across 215 plate appearances. Rotoworld Wednesday, 10:02 pm
