      Advice: Judge ended May with a bang, earning his first multi-homer game of the year while reaching the 20-homer mark. He did a ton of damage to opposing pitchers this month, going 36-for-97 (.371) with 14 long balls, 12 doubles and 27 RBI over 28 contests.       Aaron Judge homered twice and drove in four runs in a 6-2 win for the Yankees over the Giants on Friday.

      Advice: This getting ridiculous. Judge is now all alone in eighth place in Yankees’ history with 277 homers; passing Jorge Posada. The slugger also singled for a three-hit day, and he’s up to 20 homers on the season. The month of May has been extremely kind to Judge.     • Zac Gallen diagnosed with Grade 1 hamstring strain
      Diamondbacks’ manager Torey Lovullo told reporters on Friday night that Zac Gallen was diagnosed with a Grade 1 hamstring strain.

      Advice: That’s obviously good news, as Grade 1 is the least severe of the strains. The 28-year-old hurler dealt with a similar injury back in 2021 and wound up missing the minimum 15 days of action. The Diamondbacks are hopeful that he’ll face a similar timeline this time as well and that he’ll be able to return to the starting rotation in mid-June when he’s eligible.       The Diamondbacks placed Gallen on the 15-day injured list Friday due to a right hamstring strain.

      Advice: Gallen was pulled from Thursday's start against the Mets after throwing just six pitches without recording an out. He has been dealing with a right hamstring issue since April 26, and the 28-year-old right-hander will now be on the shelf for an extended period of time after aggravating the injury. It's unclear how long Gallen will be sidelined, but if he only misses the minimum, that would put him in line to return June 15 against the White Sox.       Advice: Not long after manager Torey Lovullo said he remained hopeful that Gallen would avoid a trip to the injured list, the club officially placed the right-hander on the 15-day IL. It sounds like the Diamondbacks are hopeful that it will be a minimum stay there, but we’ll see how he progresses over the next two weeks.       Advice: The 28-year-old hurler left Thursday’s start after just one batter due to a right hamstring strain. He’s still being evaluated and the Diamondbacks are holding out hope that he’ll be able to avoid a trip to the injured list while accepting the fact that it’s still a very real possibility.       The Padres are still evaluating Darvish's left hamstring injury and have not ruled out him making his next scheduled start Tuesday versus the Angels, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

      Advice: Darvish had to be lifted from Wednesday's outing against the Marlins after his hamstring tightened up on him. While it's a good sign he hasn't been placed on the 10-day injured list yet, no final determination has been made regarding his status for his next turn or a possible IL stint.       Padres’ manager Mike Shildt told reporters on Friday that Yu Darvish (hamsting) is still being evaluated and that there’s a chance he’ll be able to make his next scheduled start on Tuesday.

It sounds like they’ll continue to take things a day at a time with the 37-year-old hurler.       Advice: The 36-year-old DH came up big for the Mets, breaking a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the eighth inning by crushing the first pitch he saw from Ryan Thompson to straightaway center field. Martinez is settling into a groove, slashing .279/.323/.508 over his last 15 games with five doubles, three homers and nine RBI, but his 36.9 percent strikeout rate during that time is still worrisome.
