      Advice: While recent X-rays on Rengifo’s wrist came back negative, the second baseman was still dealing with soreness in his right wrist and now finds himself on the injured list.       The Angels placed Rengifo on the 10-day injured list Friday with right wrist inflammation.

      Advice: It appears an MRI cleared Rengifo of any structural damage in the wrist, but with the All-Star break looming, the Angels have opted to go ahead and put the super utility player on the IL. Rengifo will be eligible for activation on July 14, the last day of the first half, but realistically he'll probably be held out at least through the break.       Advice: O'Neill accounted for three of Boston's eight total hits to record his third consecutive multi-hit effort. He came up big in extra frames, recording an RBI single in the 11th inning and adding the game-winning RBI on a double in the 12th. O'Neill also collected two thefts in the contest after notching just one steal (on one attempt) over his first 60 games of the season. Swiping bags probably won't become a trend for the outfielder moving forward, though it's worth noting that he stole 29 combined bases across the 2021 and 2022 campaigns while with St. Louis.       Advice: Steer gave the Reds a 5-0 lead with his three-run blast to the short porch in right field in the fifth inning. The long ball was his 11th of the campaign, and he's just shy of the halfway point to reaching the 23 homers he hit last season.       Stroman (7-4) took the loss against Cincinnati on Thursday, pitching five innings and allowing five runs on five hits and two walks while striking out six batters over five innings.

      Advice: Stroman struggled to keep the ball in the park Thursday -- of the five hits he allowed, three were long balls, and all five of the runs he yielded came on home runs. The right-hander hadn't been prone to the long ball coming in, as he hadn't given up a homer in three of his prior four starts. Stroman hasn't been pitching particularly well of late, though, as he has a 6.43 ERA across 21 frames covering his past four outings.
