Elias Díaz left Monday’s game in the first inning with an apparent leg injury sustained running to first base.
Advice: This will probably quiet any trade talk for a while. Jacob Stallings, who has been a nice surprise in limited action this year, took over behind the plate against the Twins. If Díaz goes on the IL, the Rockies could call up another catcher, but they wouldn’t necessarily need to with Hunter Goodman capable of serving as a backup. They don’t have any other catchers on the 40-man roster.
