    • Will start for Texas on Tuesday
Eovaldi (groin) will start Tuesday's game against the Diamondbacks, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Advice: Eovaldi has missed nearly all of May with a strained right groin, but he will skip a rehab assignment and go right back into the Rangers' rotation. The right-hander would figure to be relatively limited from a workload perspective Tuesday, although the Rangers haven't revealed any specifics regarding a pitch count. Dane Dunning had been on turn to start Tuesday but will now take the ball Wednesday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:52 pm
    • Starling Marte sitting first game of doubleheader
Starling Marte is not in the lineup for the first game of a doubleheader versus the Dodgers on Tuesday.

Advice: Marte will get the first game of the twin-billing off. While he sits, the Mets will have Tyrone Taylor handle center field with DJ Stewart in right field. Harrison Bader is also out of the lineup for the first game against Tyler Glasnow and the Dodgers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:37 am
    • Sitting out first game
Marte is not in the lineup for the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Dodgers.

Advice: Marte will surely be back among the starting nine for the second contest, but he'll begin the first one on the bench as the Dodgers send tough right-hander Tyler Glasnow to the hill. DJ Stewart will patrol right field in the first game. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:35 am
    • Belts fourth homer in win
Bichette went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's win over the White Sox.

Advice: He took Nick Nastrini deep in the fourth inning, one of three long balls for Toronto on the day. Bichette is batting .424 (14-for-33) over the last eight games, boosting his slash line on the season to .247/.297/.366 with four homers, four steals, 18 runs and 23 RBI through 50 contests. • Jeremy Peña fans four times in loss
Jeremy Peña struck out all four times he was up Monday in the loss to the Mariners.

Advice: That’s as many strikeouts as he totaled in his previous eight games. Peña is having a great season, but this was not his night. We’d still say it’s past time for the Astros to start batting him ahead of Alex Bregman in the order. Rotoworld Monday, 9:31 pm

    • Sharp outing against Yankees
Musgrove did not factor into the decision in Sunday's win over the Yankees, allowing one run on six hits and no walks while striking out five over 5.1 innings.

Advice: Musgrove blanked the Yankees through five before Juan Soto finally opened up the scoring with a one-out RBI double in the sixth that prompted Musgrove's exit after 87 pitches. Despite remaining winless since April 21, Sunday's start was an encouraging showing and one of Musgrove's best starts in what's been a tough season for him so far. The 31-year-old will carry a 5.66 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 44:15 K:BB (49.1 innings) into a road start against the Royals this weekend. Rotowire.com Monday, 7:12 am

    • Drives in two in win
Lowe went 2-for-4 with two RBI in Sunday's 6-2 win over Minnesota.

Advice: Lowe had a pair of run-producing singles, his first multi-hit game since May 8. The first baseman entered Sunday with just six hits over the last 49 at-bats (.122). That slump prompted manager Bruce Bochy to drop Lowe to sixth in order against right-handers this past week. Rotowire.com Monday, 5:21 am

    • Power surge continues
McMahon went 1-for-3 with a walk and a two-run home run Sunday against the Phillies.

Advice: McMahon popped his 10th home run of the season in the first inning, and half of those long balls have come in his last 10 starts. In that span, he's scored 10 runs and driven in 11 while hitting .268. McMahon has also cut his strikeout rate to 24.9 percent across 225 plate appearances, down 3.5 percentage points from his career clip. Rotowire.com Monday, 12:01 am

    • No decision yet on rehab start
The Rangers have yet to decide whether Eovaldi (groin) will require a minor-league rehab assignment before being activated from the 15-day injured list, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Eovaldi has been on the shelf since May 3 with a strained right groin. Though Eovaldi didn't return from the IL in the minimum 15 days like manager Bruce Bochy had initially suggested could be the case, the veteran right-hander might be able to avoid a rehab assignment prior to being activated. He traveled with the Rangers this weekend and threw a bullpen session Friday at Target Field, and he'll presumably be reassessed when the team returns to Arlington ahead of its two-game home series versus the Diamondbacks that begins Tuesday.
