    • Ronel Blanco returns with stellar start in win
Ronel Blanco allowed just one run on four hits in seven innings in a win over the A’s on Sunday.

Advice: Blanco struck out six and walked one, allowing just a solo home run to Max Schuemann in his outing. He induced 17 whiffs for a 31 percent whiff rate and 33 percent CSW. He got right back to doing what he was doing after his controversial suspension, and he now has a 1.99 ERA on the season to go along with a 5-0 record. He has a tougher test against the Twins next week but should be started against pretty much every offense right now while he’s pitching like this. Rotoworld Sunday, 4:05 pm

    • Ronel Blanco reinstated for start against A’s
      Astros activated RHP Ronel Blanco.

Advice: Blanco was suspended for 10 games after being detected for a foreign substance on his glove He’ll get the start Sunday against the Athletics for the series finale. He should be activated from fantasy lineups for that outing. Rotoworld Sunday, 7:03 am

    • Back from suspension, starting Sunday
Blanco (suspension) was reinstated to the Astros' 26-man active roster Sunday and will start Houston's series finale versus the Athletics in Oakland.

Advice: As had been reported days earlier, Blanco will immediately slot back into the Houston rotation now that he's completed his 10-game ban after he was deemed to have used a foreign substance during his most recent start May 14, also versus Oakland. Assuming Blanco was able to stay fully ramped up while he was serving his suspension, he shouldn't face many restrictions when he takes the hill Sunday. Blanco has been a revelation for the Astros this season, compiling a 4-0 record, 2.09 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 45:21 K:BB in 47.1 innings across eight starts. Rotowire.com Sunday, 6:51 am

    • Picks up one-out save
Megill recorded a one-out save in Saturday's 6-3 victory over the Red Sox.

Advice: The Brewers were hoping to give Megill the night off, but they were forced to turn to him with two outs in the bottom of the ninth and the tying run in the batter's box. Megill surrendered an RBI single to the first batter he faced to let one inherited runner score, but he quickly rebounded with a strikeout to end it. Having converted each of the Brewers' last eight traditional saves, Megill is the clear closer in Milwaukee. Rotowire.com Saturday, 7:40 pm

    • Trevor Megill records one-out save vs. Red Sox
Trevor Megill got the final out to get a save Saturday against the Red Sox.

Advice: Megill did give up a hit, but he was able to get the final out via strikeout to procure his eighth save of 2024 and lowered his ERA to 1.93 in the process. There’s obviously loads of reasons to think he’ll continue to see save chances while Devin Williams remains out with injury. Rotoworld Saturday, 4:02 pm

    • Tosses quality start for fourth win
King (4-4) picked up the win Wednesday, giving up three runs on four hits and two walks over 6.2 innings in a 7-3 victory over the Reds. He struck out six.

Advice: The right-hander delivered his fifth quality start of the year, and his third in four May outings, on 92 pitches (62 strikes). King has had trouble maintaining consistency as he adjusts to being a full-time starting pitcher, but his 3.24 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 27:7 K:BB through 25 innings this month is encouraging. He'll look to put together another solid start in his next trip to the mound, which lines up to come at home early next week against the Marlins. Rotowire.com Thursday, 7:50 am

    • Michael King posts quality start in win over Reds
Michael King logged a quality start in Wednesday’s victory over the Reds, allowing three runs on three hits over his 6 2/3 frames.

Advice: King struck out six batters on the night while issuing a pair of walks. The inconsistent right-hander has made a habit of winning in tough spots this year, and against the Reds in Cincinnati would certainly qualify. He served up a solo homer to Jeimer Candelario in the opening inning, then gave up a two-out, two-run double to Tyler Stephenson in the six. King generated 12 swings and misses on 92 pitches on the night — eight of those on his changeup — while posting a CSW of 30 percent. He’ll look to keep the good times rolling as he carries a 4.33 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and a 67/28 K/BB ratio (61 innings) into Monday’s matchup against the Marlins. Rotoworld Wednesday, 5:54 pm

    • Notches seventh save
Megill gave up a hit and struck out three in a scoreless ninth inning Tuesday to record his seventh save of the season in a 7-5 win over the Marlins.

Advice: After blowing his first save of the season the night before, Megill bounced back and fired 11 of 14 pitches for strikes to get the job done, with five of his fastballs clocking in at 99 mph or higher. The right-hander sports a 1.98 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 17:3 K:BB through 13.2 innings this season, and with Devin Williams (back) just now beginning to toss a baseball, Megill figures to handle closing duties with Milwaukee for at least another couple months. • Picks up eighth save
Jansen collected the save Tuesday, allowing one hit and no walks over a scoreless inning against the Rays. He didn't generate a strikeout.

Advice: Jansen hadn't pitched since allowing a pair of runs and taking a loss May 16 and was able to shake off the rust after allowing a leadoff double to Isaac Paredes in the ninth, retiring three straight batters to pick up his eighth save of the season. The veteran closer owns a 5.14 ERA this month and has struck out seven batters in 7.0 innings. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 9:37 pm
