    • Lourdes Gurriel Jr. drives in two in win over Pads
Lourdes Gurriel Jr. went 2-for-5 with a double and a pair of RBI on Sunday as the Diamondbacks throttled the Padres in San Diego.

Advice: The 30-year-old outfielder smacked a two-run double off of Adam Mazur in the second inning and rode home on Jake McCarthy’s two-run blast. He also singled in the fourth inning and raced around to score on a two-out RBI single by Eugenio Suarez. With his two-hit attack, Gurriel is now hitting .247/.287/.405 with nine homers, 39 RBI and three swipes on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:21 pm
    • Carlos Estévez earns victory against Astros Sunday
Carlos Estévez picked up his first victory of the season on Sunday, working a scoreless ninth inning in a tied game against the Astros.

Advice: The 31-year-old hurler came on to work the top half of the ninth inning after the Angels had rallied to score two runs in the eighth to tie the game. Estevez retired the side in order — including a strikeout of Yainer Diaz — then became the beneficiary when the Angels walked it off in the home half of the inning. On the season, he sports a 4.05 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and a 19/3 K/BB ratio over 20 innings while recording 10 saves in 13 chances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:54 pm
    • Daulton Varsho scores twice as Jays defeat A’s
Daulton Varsho singled, was hit by a pitch, stole a base and scored a pair of runs on Sunday as the Blue Jays rallied to defeat the Athletics in extra innings.

Advice: Varsho led off the eighth inning with a single, was sacrificed to second base, swiped third and then scored the game’s tying run on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Davis Schneider. He was then hit by a pitch to load the bases in the 10th inning and raced home on Isiah Kiner-Falefa’s bases-clearing double. For the season, the dynamic 27-year-old outfielder is slashing .217/.306/.453 with 10 homers, 31 RBI and seven stolen bases. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:46 pm

    • Solid in no-decision
Jones did not factor into the decision Sunday against Minnesota, allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits and three walks in five innings. He struck out three.

Advice: Jones struggled to find his footing early, allowing all three of his runs in a shaky first inning during which he walked two batters and allowed the bases to be loaded with just one out. The 22-year-old rookie was able to settle in afterwards, but his control has been a minor cause of concern recently -- Sunday was his fourth consecutive game allowing multiple walks. In that span, Jones has compiled a 4.25 ERA, a 1.46 WHIP and a meager 16:11 K:BB over 21.2 innings. Jones is still an excellent fantasy option, although he will be tested in his next start, currently scheduled for next weekend at Coors Field in Colorado. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:43 pm
    • Jared Jones battles in no decision on Sunday
Jared Jones allowed three runs on six hits in five innings in a no-decision against the Twins on Sunday.

Advice: The rookie also walked three and struck out three on the day. Jones got 14 whiffs on 42 swings for a 33 percent whiff rate and 29 percent CSW, but he also allowed nine hard-hit baseballs on the day. Jones has now allowed three earned runs in four of his last five starts, but the other start was a masterful shutout of the Dodgers, which shows you just how hard it is to bench Jones when he has this much raw talent. There will be some ups and downs in his rookie season, and it’s understandable if you want to bench Jones next week in Coors Field, but the rookie’s stuff hasn’t shown any meaningful decline. • Victorious once more
Rodriguez (7-2) picked up the win Sunday against Tampa Bay, allowing two runs on two hits and one walk across 5.2 innings. He struck out six.

Advice: Rodriguez retired the first 15 batters he faced Sunday but got into trouble during the sixth before exiting. After walking the leadoff batter in the sixth, Rodriguez generated a strikeout and a lineout but got the hook after allowing back-to-back singles. Still responsible for runners on first and third, Rodriguez was charged with a second earned run when Randy Arozarena hit an RBI single off Dillon Tate. Rodriguez has earned seven wins in 11 starts this season, owning a 3.21 ERA with a 10.1 K/9. He's on track to make his next start during a home series against the Phillies next weekend. • Grayson Rodriguez tires in 6th in win over Rays
Grayson Rodriguez allowed two runs on two hits in 5 2/3 in a win over the Rays on Sunday.

Advice: Rodriguez struck out six and walked one on the day while posting a 33 percent whiff rate and 32 percent CSW. It was a solid day overall for the 24-year-old who tired with two outs in the sixth inning. Rodriguez walked the first batter of the sixth before getting two quick outs. However, he would then allow two straight hits to score a run and had another run come in to score off a reliever. Rodriguez remains one of the most talented young pitchers in the game and will carry a 3.27 ERA into a tough matchup against the Phillies next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:38 pm
    • Rafael Devers (knee) out Sunday against White Sox
Rafael Devers (knee) is not in the starting lineup Sunday against the White Sox.

Advice: Devers was removed Saturday due to soreness in his knee, and it’s been a lingering issue for the 27-year-old slugger. He’ll get a day off Sunday with Bobby Dalbec getting the start at the hot corner and hitting seventh. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:35 am

    • Rejoining lineup Sunday
Suzuki (oblique) is batting second as the designated hitter Sunday against the Reds.

Advice: The 29-year-old sat out Saturday after he exited Friday's contest due to tightness in his left oblique, but he'll return to action in a non-defensive role Sunday. Suzuki is off to a hot start in June with four extra-base hits and a .286/.375/.714 slash line through six games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:28 am
