      Jones isn't listed among the Pirates' probable starting pitchers for this weekend's series in Atlanta, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

      Advice: Jones will thus go the entire week without making a start, much to the chagrin of fantasy managers in weekly leagues who chose to keep him active. Gorman notes that general manager Ben Cherington has previously said that while the Pirates don't intend to shut Jones or fellow rookie phenom Paul Skenes down at any point this season, both pitchers will have their respective workloads managed to some degree as the campaign unfolds. Jones isn't dealing with any sort of injury, so the Pirates appear to have simply chosen this week as an opportunity to build in more recovery for the right-hander, who has logged 86 innings through his first 15 big-league starts.       Advice: He looked to be the odd man out when Taylor Walls returned from the injured list, but Caballero has started in three straight games and four of the Rays' last five games. In part, that's because Brandon Lowe (toe) has been sidelined, though the Rays have also played Caballero at third base and shortstop during his recent uptick in playing time.       Fedde (5-3) took the loss against the Dodgers on Wednesday, allowing four runs on five hits and one walk over six innings while striking out five.

      Advice: Fedde got off to a rough start, surrendering a leadoff home run to Shohei Ohtani to open the game before getting tagged for another three runs in the third. The right-handed veteran would allow just one more hit over his final three frames, but the damage had already been done as the White Sox's offense failed to provide any run support. Fedde has now gone at least six innings in four consecutive starts and hasn't walked more than one batter in any of his six outings this month.       Advice: Stone was spectacular Wednesday, matching his season high with seven strikeouts en route to recording the first complete game of his major-league career. The right-hander retired the side in order in five of his nine frames and didn't allow a runner to reach second base outside of a leadoff double from Gavin Sheets to open the second. Stone has now won each of his last five decisions (spanning six starts) and has also posted at least six strikeouts in five of his last six outings.       Rodriguez (9-3) earned the win over Cleveland on Wednesday, allowing two runs on five hits and no walks while striking out four batters over seven innings.

      Advice: Rodriguez was tagged for seven runs over five innings against Houston during his previous trip to the mound, but he was much better Wednesday, notching his seventh quality start of the campaign and his ninth victory. The right-hander did give up two home runs, but both were of the solo variety, and they accounted for the only scores the Guardians managed against him. Rodriguez has been good at limiting long balls this season -- Wednesday marked just the second time he has allowed multiple homers -- and he's completed at least five frames in all but one of his 14 starts.
