    • Clay Holmes walks tightrope, but escapes with save
Clay Holmes walked the tightrope against the Dodgers in the ninth inning on Sunday, but managed to escape with a two-run lead intact to earn his 19th save of the season.

Advice: Holmes had no trouble getting the first two outs of the inning, but then he allowed singles to Gavin Lux and Enrique Hernandez to put the tying runs on base for Mookie Betts. He battled back though, getting Betts on a swinging third strike to close it out for the Yankees. The 31-year-old hurler has been outstanding this season, posting a 1.23 ERA and 29/8 K/BB ratio over 29 1/3 innings to go along with his 19 saves. Rotoworld Today, 6:56 pm
    • Reaches base four times
Correa went 3-for-5 with a walk, two runs scored and two RBI in Sunday's 11-5 win over the Pirates.

Advice: Correa plated two on a 10th-inning single, scoring later in the frame to cap off a seven-run inning for the Twins. The 29-year-old notched his third multi-hit effort over his past four games, reaching base four times in Sunday's win. Correa owns a solid .265/.335/.441 slash line, but he has provided limited power with just five home runs and 26 RBI in 47 games played. Rotowire.com Today, 5:03 pm

    • Carlos Correa has three hits, two RBI in win
Carlos Correa went 3-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored in an 11-4 extra-innings win over the Pirates on Sunday.

Advice: Correa drove in both runs with an RBI single in the 10th inning that helped break the game open. He also had a 109.5 mph single in the first inning and a 106.4 mph single in the 5th inning, so he was seeing the ball well on Sunday. The veteran now has 26 RBI in 47 games this season while battling injuries. He continues to hit in the middle of the Twins’ order and remains a viable middle infield option; although, he is really just a 20 home run hitter at this stage in his career with no speed, which caps his fantasy ceiling. • Dazzles with 10 Ks
Skubal (8-1) picked up the win Sunday versus Milwaukee, allowing one earned run on five hits and two walks while striking out 10 batters in 6.2 innings.

Advice: Skubal nearly went seven scoreless innings, but he allowed an RBI triple to Brice Turang before being pulled. Skubal dominated the Brewers, inducing 17 swinging strikes and allowing only one extra-base hit, turning in his ninth quality start over his past 10 games. The southpaw has been one of the best pitchers in baseball, compiling a 1.92 ERA and a 0.89 WHIP with 96 strikeouts in 79.2 innings. He is tentatively scheduled for a road start in Houston next weekend. Rotowire.com Today, 1:43 pm

    • Tarik Skubal strikes out 10 in defeating Brewers
Tarik Skubal fanned 10 while limiting the Brewers to one run in 6 2/3 innings in the Tigers’ 10-2 victory Sunday.

Advice: Skubal hit a career-high 101.7 mph on the gun today while working to Rhys Hoskins in the third. His other two hardest pitches in the game (99.4 and 99.1 mph) also came in that at-bat, which ended with Hoskins out on a foul popup. Skubal moved to 8-1 with a 1.92 ERA. He’s tied for third in the majors in wins, he’s fifth in ERA and he’s fourth in strikeouts with 96. Rotoworld Today, 1:19 pm

    • Yoshida (thumb) picks up hit in rehab game in AAA
Masataka Yoshida (thumb) went 1-for-4 with a run scored in a rehab appearance with Triple-A Worcester.

Advice: Yoshida was the designated hitter for the WooSox on Saturday, and he’s scheduled to DH again for Worcester on Sunday. Assuming those games go well, the 30-year-old is expected to rejoin the Red Sox at some point later this week. He should be in the lineup on close to an everyday basis once he’s back. • Begins rehab assignment
Yoshida (thumb) started as the designated hitter and went 1-for-4 with a run scored in a rehab game for Triple-A Worcester on Saturday.

Advice: Yoshida played the first of two rehab games as the DH for Worcester and said that he felt no pain coming out of either contest, Julian McWilliams of The Boston Globe reports. He'll serve as Worcester's DH again Sunday, and the Red Sox hope to have him back from the 10-day injured list by the end of the week. Rotowire.com Today, 7:11 am

    • Baty starting at third vs. Phillies in London
Brett Baty is starting at third base and hitting eighth Sunday against the Phillies.

Advice: Baty will man the hot corner while he’s the 27th player on the roster for the series against Philadelphia in London. Mark Vientos will begin Sunday’s game on the bench. Rotoworld Today, 5:46 am

    • Jake Cronenworth drives home four vs. D-Backs
Jake Cronenworth drove in four runs while homering in a 13-1 rout of the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

Advice: Cronenworth annihilated a Logan Allen pitch in the fourth inning to extend the Padres’ lead to 7-0. The infielder also singled home a run an inning later to give him his fourth RBI of the game and 44th of the season. Cronenworth has scuffled at the plate as of late, but the metrics suggest he’s due for more games like this over the summer. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:09 pm
