      Daulton Varsho went hitless in a seventh consecutive start Monday, finishing 0-for-3 with a walk against the Astros.

      Advice: Varsho did get a hit off the bench Saturday, but he’s 1-for-28 with 13 strikeouts since June 19, dropping his average to .197. There’s too much homer and steal potential here to make Varsho droppable in fantasy leagues, but it’s tempting.       Kelenic went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Saturday's 2-1, extra-inning win against the Pirates.

      Advice: Kelenic got to rookie phenom Paul Skenes for a solo homer to lead off the bottom of the first inning, though that was the only run Atlanta managed until Adam Duvall hit a walk-off single in the 10th frame. Kelenic has been hot of late, collecting three multi-hit efforts over his past five games. He's batting .474 (9-for-19) with two long balls, five RBI and a stolen base during that stretch.       Jarred Kelenic went 2-for-3 with a homer in an extra-inning win Saturday over the Pirates.

      Advice: Never give up on talent. Kelenic smoked a solo shot off Paul Skenes to lead off the bottom of the first, and he’s up to nine homers in the first half of the season. The 24-year-old also singled and drew a walk while improving his slash to .283/.329/.466. It’s understandable if fantasy players are skeptical of Kelenic given his previous struggles, but again, there’s a reason this was one of the best prospects in baseball a short time ago. The 23-year-old’s sophomore campaign hasn’t gone as planned, but he’s shown some signs of life over the last few weeks, batting .253 (22-for-87) with eight extra-base hits (zero homers) and five steals since June 1.       Advice: With the Yankees sending left-hander Nestor Cortes to the mound Saturday, Varsho will retreat to the bench. Varsho returned to the starting lineup Thursday after sitting the three games prior due to a back injury, and he's gone 0-for-8 with five strikeouts over his last two starts.       Advice: Carroll was dropped from the top of the order to seventh against a left-hander, though it's unclear if this was a specific adjustment for one game or part of a larger plan going forward against lefties. Carroll appeared to put a season-opening slump behind him earlier this month but was 3-for-22 (.136) over seven games entering Friday. It seems odd that manager Torey Lovullo would drop him after a one-week slump. More should be learned Saturday, when the A's scheduled starter is lefty Hogan Harris.       Advice: The veteran designated hitter faced Martin Perez in the third inning with the bases loaded and laced a bases-clearing double to push Atlanta's lead to 4-0. Ozuna kept his hot June cooking, as he entered this contest slashing .286/.369/.505 with five homers, 15 runs scored and 15 RBI over 103 plate appearances before this performance.
