    • Smacks homer in loss
Ramirez went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Friday's 10-3 loss to the Royals.

Advice: Ramirez is up to six homers and 16 RBI over 21 contests in June while hitting .294 (25-for-85) for the month. The third baseman opened the scoring Friday, but the Royals poured on seven runs before the Guardians had a response. Overall, Ramirez continues to provide elite all-around production with 22 homers, 73 RBI, 62 runs scored, 15 stolen bases and a .278/.332/.547 slash line through 77 contests. • Goes deep again
Rengifo went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and two runs scored in Friday's win over Detroit.

Advice: Rengifo got things started with a two-run shot in the first inning. It was his sixth of the year and the first time this season he's gone deep in two straight games. He's produced four multi-hit performances in his last five games, boosting his season OPS from .770 to .808 in the process. Rengifo is slashing .315/.361/.447 with 18 extra-base hits, 20 steals and 34 runs scored this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:40 pm

    • Secures 16th save
Estevez threw a perfect ninth inning to earn a save over Detroit on Friday.

Advice: Estevez needed only nine pitches to sit down the heart of the Tigers' lineup in order. He's up to 16 saves on the year and has converted 10 straight chances. Since blowing his last save May 10, Estevez has given up just one earned run over 14.1 innings. He's lowered his season ERA to 3.12 with an impressive 27:3 K:BB through 26 appearances. • Cal Raleigh drives home game-winner in 10th
Cal Raleigh picked up an RBI on a fielder’s choice to give the Mariners a 3-2 win over the Twins on Friday.

Advice: The Mariners scored all of their runs in bizarre fashion Friday, and Raleigh made sure the game-winner was a dribbler that was good enough to score J.P. Crawford from third and give Seattle the win. The 27-year-old backstop has really struggled to hit for average, but has helped as a ron-producer with 50 RBI in through the first 84 games of the year. • Luis Rengifo swats two-run homer vs. Tigers
Luis Rengifo hit a two-run homer in the Angels’ win Friday over the Tigers.

Advice: Rengifo gave the Angels a 2-0 lead in the first inning with a two-run swat off Kenta Maeda. Those would be the only runs the Angels would pick up off Maeda, but the Halos were able to get to the Detroit bullpen to pull off the win. Rengifo has been a real bright spot for Los Angeles in 2024 with a .315 average, six homers and 24 RBI through the first 81 games of the year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:06 pm

    • Carlos Estévez picks up 16th save of year vs. DET
Carlos Estévez didn’t give up a hit while qualifying for a save against the Tigers on Friday.

Advice: Estévez didn’t give up a hit, didn’t strike anyone out and didn’t issue a walk. He didn’t really have a chance to do any of those things as the Tigers made him throw only nine pitches; eight of those landing for strikes. The 31-year-old is already up to 16 saves on the year with a very useable 3.12 ERA. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:06 pm
    • Allows two runs in loss
Scherzer (1-1) took the loss against the Orioles on Friday, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks with four strikeouts over 5.1 innings.

Advice: Scherzer surrendered a solo home run to Colton Cowser in the fourth inning and an RBI single to Gunnar Henderson in the fifth. He retired the first batter of the sixth frame but was pulled at 77 pitches, as he is still building up his pitch count. The 39-year-old passed Greg Maddux for 11th on the all-time strikeout list and now has 3,375 career punchouts. In two starts this season, he owns a 1.74 ERA, 0.68 WHIP and 8:2 K:BB over 10.1 innings and lines up to face the Padres next week. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:56 pm
    • Max Scherzer wills his way to an effective start
Max Scherzer allowed two earned runs in 5 1/3 innings on Friday against the Orioles. He struck out four and walked two in a loss.

Advice: This version of Scherzer could be effective if he wasn’t pitching against the best lineup in baseball. He stayed around the zone, made hitters feel uncomfortable, mixed all five of his pitches, and got his fastball up to 95 MPH. It isn’t pretty, but there’s still a fierce competitor here with a wide repertoire who knows how to wield it. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:43 pm
    • Brandon Drury (illness) remains out of Angels lineup
Brandon Drury (illness) remains out of the Angels’ starting lineup for Friday night’s showdown against the Tigers.

Advice: It’s the eighth consecutive game that Drury has missed due to illness — though he’s said to be making progress and getting closer to a return. Luis Guillorme will start in his place at second base on Friday night and will bat ninth against Kenta Maeda and the Tigers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:20 pm
