    • Geared up for rehab assignment
Trout (knee) is headed to Arizona on Saturday to face live pitching at the Angels' Spring Training complex, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Trout is expected to spend two days in Arizona before launching a rehab assignment with Triple-A Salt Lake on Monday. The outfielder has been sidelined since April 30 while recovering from a torn meniscus in his left knee, but he could return to the Angels' lineup as soon as Thursday at home versus the Athletics. • Goes deep in win
Rutschman went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run, a walk and an additional run scored in Friday's 9-1 win over the Rangers.

Advice: Rutschman stumbled into the All-Star break, going 5-for-40 (.125) with a 7:5 BB:K over his last 11 games. He made a quick impact in Texas with his first-inning homer, washing away his 0-for-2 performance during the All-Star Game in the same park. The catcher's season-long numbers have taken just a modest hit due to his recent slump -- he now has a .275/.340/.447 slash line with 17 homers, 61 RBI, 49 runs scored, one stolen base and 12 doubles through 91 contests. • Throws six shutout innings
Brown (8-6) allowed four hits and three walks while striking out five over six shutout innings to earn the win over the Mariners on Friday.

Advice: Brown walked multiple batters for the fourth time in five starts, but his only loss in that span came the one time he issued a single free pass. He's kept opponents off the board in five of his last eight outings and has record a quality start in 10 of his last 11 trip to the mound. Brown's walk rate is about the only issue for him at this point -- he has a 3.5 BB/9 overall, though since May 22 he has a 2.7 mark. The 25-year-old has added a 4.14 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 110:41 K:BB through 104.1 innings across 20 appearances (19 starts). Brown is projected to face the Athletics in a road start next week. • Hunter Brown blanks M’s with six scoreless in win
Hunter Brown blanked the Mariners over six innings to get a win Friday in the Astros’ 3-0 win.

Advice: Brown was one of the best options in baseball over the final two months before the break, and that good run continued Friday. He did issue three walks, but he worked around those bases on balls with five strikeouts and wiggled out of the few jams he created. Brown’s ERA is now 4.14; a much more impressive number when you consider it was 7.71 on May 17. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:30 pm
    • Collects four hits
Henderson went 4-for-5 with three runs scored in Friday's win over the Rangers.

Advice: Henderson smacked four singles and has just one extra-base knock over his last seven appearances. The 23-year-old turned in his first multi-hit effort since July 7 and is now 18-for-56 (.321) this month. On the year, Henderson's slash line is up .293/.378/.586 with 81 runs scored through 96 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:48 pm
    • Fans eight in win
Flaherty (7-5) earned the win Friday versus Toronto, allowing two runs on three hits and one walk over 5.2 innings. He struck out eight.

Advice: The Detroit right-hander collected his second consecutive win, as he conjured 17 whiffs to produce eight punchouts. In his second start since returning from a back injury, Flaherty masterfully commanded his arsenal over 98 pitches. He has now pitched to a 3.13 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 127:17 K:BB across 100.2 innings, making him a prime trade target at the upcoming July 30 deadline. Flaherty is currently scheduled to make his next start against the Guardians on the road. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:55 pm

    • Jack Flaherty strikes out eight in win over Jays
Jack Flaherty delivered a strong performance in Friday night’s victory over the Blue Jays, giving up two runs on just three hits over 5 2/3 innings of work.

Advice: The right-hander piled up eight strikeouts on the evening while issuing just one base on balls. All of the damage done against him came in his final inning of work, as Flaherty issued a two-out walk to Spencer Horowitz and then lost a nine-pitch battle to Vladimir Guerrero Jr. that resulted in a mammoth 445-foot two-run blast. Overall, Flaherty got 17 swings and misses on 98 pitches on the night — eight on his slider — while posting a CSW of 32 percent. He’ll carry a 7-5 record, 3.13 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 127/17 K/BB ratio (100 2/3 innings) into Wednesday’s matchup against the Guardians in Cleveland. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:48 pm

    • Mike Trout (knee) closing in on rehab assignment
Angels’ manager Ron Washington said Friday that Mike Trout (knee) is getting closer to a minor league rehab assignment.

Advice: Trout is on his way to Arizona where he’ll ramp up his rehab and start to face live pitching before he heads out on a minor league rehab assignment with Triple-A Salt Lake. The 32-year-old superstar has been sidelined since late April when he underwent surgery to repair a meniscus tear in his left knee. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:24 pm
