    • Another shaky outing Sunday
Irvin (6-5) took the loss against the Rangers on Sunday, allowing five runs on five hits and two walks while striking out two over 3.2 innings.

Advice: Irvin served up a two-run blast to Derek Hill in the second and was chased out of the game in the fourth after surrendering a triple, three singles and a walk, leading to three more runs for the Rangers. He's now failed to cover at least five innings in three straight starts and has given up 14 runs over that span while compiling just a 5:4 K:BB in his last 12.1 innings pitched. Irvin now owns a 4.13 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 56:17 K:BB in 80.2 innings this season. He's lined up for a start against the Athletics this weekend, though it's worth monitoring what manager Brandon Hyde decides to do with his rotation spot after his recent struggles with Dean Kremer (triceps) on the cusp of returning from a rehab assignment. • Maintains red-hot bat
Nimmo went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, three RBI and two runs Sunday against the Astros.

Advice: Nimmo continues to swing a hot bat, collecting three more hits including a game-tying homer in the seventh. Following a 10-game hit streak, Nimmo's bat had cooled a bit with just one hit in his 10 previous at-bats, though he did reach base four additional times via walks. Nimmo carries a solid .247/.367/.815 slash line on the season with 13 dingers, 50 RBI, 53 runs and five steals. However, over his last 14 games Nimmo is slashing .382/.477/.782 with six homers, 18 RBI and 20 runs scored. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:34 pm

    • Finishes single short of cycle
Paredes went 3-for-4 with a home run, a triple, a double and an additional run scored Sunday against the Nationals.

Advice: Paredes entered the day with just two hits over his last 23 at-bats but broke out of it in a big way with his first three-hit game since May 21. He did all his damage off Nationals starter Patrick Corbin, going 3-for-3 against the lefty. Despite the recent slump, Paredes maintains a healthy .276/.361/.472 slash line on the season with 13 home runs, 43 RBI, 32 runs and 32 walks over 328 plate appearances. • Cole Irvin tagged for five runs by Rangers
Cole Irvin lasted just 3 2/3 innings and gave up five runs in a loss to the Rangers on Sunday.

Advice: Irvin seemed safe from being threatened by Dean Kramer’s return, but with three poor outings in a row taking his ERA from 3.03 to 4.17, a demotion to the pen is realistic. Albert Suárez and Cade Povich are the other two candidates to be bumped from the rotation. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:16 pm

    • Brandon Nimmo doubles, homers
Brandon Nimmo went 3-for-5 with a home run, double, walk, three RBI, and two runs scored on Sunday against the Astros.

Advice: Nimmo’s two extra-base hits came at extremely clutch times for the Mets: his two-run homer, the 100th of his career, tied this game in the seventh and his RBI double again brought the Mets even in extra innings. His resurgence over the last few weeks has been a spectacle as he’s pulled his OPS up from .708 on June 13th to .815 today. He’s found a home in the two-hole of the Mets’ lineup and is on pace for 26 homers, 30 doubles, 106 runs scored, 100 RBI, and 10 stolen bases this season. That is the statline of a bona fide stud. • Blasts 15th home run
De La Cruz went 2-for-5 with a home run and two runs scored in Sunday's 7-6 loss against Philadelphia.

Advice: De La Cruz broke out of a mini slump after going 4-for-28 over his last seven games with a nice showing Sunday. His 15 home runs in 82 games this season are just four behind the career high he set last season in 153 games. While De La Cruz's slash line of .242/.289/.426 has room for improvement, there's no denying his raw potential to continue to add throughout the season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:06 pm
    • Bryan De La Cruz smacks 15th homer
Bryan De La Cruz went 2-for-4 with a home run and two runs scored on Sunday against the Phillies.

Advice: De La Cruz’s 15 home runs are incredibly sneaky. Just four off his career-high 19 he set last year, his 10.9 barrel rate suggest the power outburst is real. De La Cruz has always had tremendous physical tools and is now showing genuine, all-fields power. He’s a name to watch ahead of the trade deadline as a move out of the cavernous loanDepot Park in Miami could increase his power potential. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:59 pm
    • Ejected from Sunday's contest
Altuve was ejected from Sunday's game against the Mets, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Advice: Altuve grounded out to finish the seventh inning, but he was ejected for arguing that he fouled the ball off his foot. The 34-year-old went 2-for-4 with an RBI prior to being sent off, which is his fifth multi-hit effort in the past six games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:33 pm

    • Not starting Sunday
Ortiz (neck) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cubs, Sophia Minnaert of Bally Sports Wisconsin reports.

Advice: The 25-year-old is out of the lineup for the third straight game due to neck soreness, but his absence is viewed as precautionary. Ortiz's appearance as a pinch runner during Saturday's contest reinforces that sentiment. Andruw Monasterio will receive another start at the hot corner in Sunday's series finale.
