• Kikuchi lacks run support in loss to White Sox
Yusei Kikuchi allowed two earned runs over six innings in the Blue Jays’ loss to the White Sox.

Advice: Kikuchi was fine for much of the evening but gave up a two-RBI single to Corey Julks in the fifth inning, which looked like a devastating blow to a Blue Jays offense that managed just two hits on the night. Kikuchi’s record sits at 2-3 on the year despite a solid 2.64 ERA. The Jays entered the day as one of the worst run-scoring offenses in the league, making wins hard to come by for Kikuchi, who has yet to earn a win in May despite allowing just six earned runs over 24 1/3 innings on the month. He’ll have one more chance to get a win in May when he makes the start against the Tigers on Sunday. Rotoworld Today, 6:33 pm

  • Crochet throws six scoreless innings vs. Blue Jays
Garrett Crochet pitched six scoreless innings while striking out four in the White Sox win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: You couldn’t have asked for a much better outing out of Crochet. While it wasn’t a dominating performance, the lefty held the Blue Jays’ lineup to just two hits, while walking only one batter. Crochet continues to be one of the few bright spots for the White Sox, as he’s now won five games on the season and is sporting an era of 3.75. Crochet will look to earn his sixth win in his next start, which is scheduled for Sunday against the Orioles. Rotoworld Today, 6:31 pm

  • Nico Hoerner back in lineup Tuesday vs. Braves
Nico Hoerner (hamstring) is back in the lineup for Tuesday’s series opener against the Braves.

Advice: It’s an extremely encouraging development for fantasy managers as Hoerner is back at second base and batting sixth on Tuesday night at Wrigley Field following a six-game absence due to left hamstring tightness. The hope here is that he received enough time off to put the issue to bed completely. Rotoworld Today, 1:44 pm

  • Returns to lineup Tuesday
Hoerner (hamstring) will start at second base and bat sixth in Tuesday's game versus Atlanta.

Advice: Hoerner hasn't played in more than a week due to a left hamstring injury, but he's finally feeling well enough to give it a go Tuesday. Dansby Swanson is also back from an injured-list stint, so the Cubs will have their middle-infield duo back together for the first time since May 7. Rotowire.com Today, 1:33 pm

  • Notches ninth save
Munoz allowed a hit in a scoreless inning against the Yankees on Monday. He struck out two and earned a save.

Advice: Munoz worked around a one-out single by Juan Soto to finish off the 5-4 victory. Since blowing a save in Colorado on April 21, Munoz has converted his last seven chances, allowing just one run over 13 innings during that span. His ERA is down to 1.77 with a 28:7 K:BB through 20.1 frames. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:16 pm
  • Officially activated
Swanson (knee) was activated from the 10-day injured list Monday night, per MLB's transaction log.

Advice: Swanson was expected to be activated prior to Tuesday's game against Atlanta, and the team has elected to make the move official a bit earlier than anticipated despite not having a game Monday. Miles Mastrobuoni and Pete Crow-Armstrong were optioned to Triple-A Iowa in corresponding moves, making room for the upcoming promotion of Luis Vazquez. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:06 pm

  • Cubs activated Dansby Swanson from I.L.
Cubs activated SS Dansby Swanson from the 10-day injured list.

Advice: The Cubs don’t play today, so it’s kind of surprising that the move is coming now. However, MLB.com’s transactions page says it’s official. Still unofficial is the Luis Vazquez callup, which is expected to happen before the game Tuesday. Swanson should start at shortstop Tuesday after missing two weeks with a sprained knee. • Yankees bring up Clayton Andrews from AAA
Yankees selected the contract of LHP Clayton Andrews from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Advice: Andrews has allowed 11 runs on eight hits in 15 innings while striking out 18 but walking 12. The Yankees put him on waivers in April but he went unclaimed. He was promoted after Ian Hamilton was placed on the COVID-19 IL. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:23 pm
  • Back in big leagues
The Yankees selected Andrews' contract from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Monday.

Advice: Andrews was scrubbed from the Yankees' 40-man roster last month but has worked his way back onto it and is back in the majors after holding a 3.97 ERA and 16:6 K:BB over his last 11.1 innings with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. He'll operate in low-leverage spots. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:47 am
