• Racks up three hits
Mountcastle went 3-for-5 with a double, one RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 11-3 win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Mountcastle has hit safely in his last six games, going 11-for-25 (.440) in that span. During the streak, he has a double in four of those six games, though he's added just two RBI and has not hit a home run since May 8. Nonetheless, the first baseman is putting together a strong campaign with a .280/.317/.468 slash line, six homers, 20 RBI, 28 runs scored, 15 doubles, one triple and two stolen bases over 47 games. • Fans seven in no-decision
Snell allowed four runs (three earned) on five hits and two walks while striking out seven batters over four innings in a no-decision against Philadelphia on Monday.

Advice: Snell went on the paternity list Thursday while awaiting the birth of his child, but he ended up taking his normal turn in the rotation. The left-hander set a season high with seven punchouts but again failed to complete five innings -- through five starts this season, he's topped out at 4.2 frames. Snell also has yet to allow fewer than three earned runs in an outing, and his ERA for the campaign sits at an unsightly 10.42. Rotowire.com Monday, 8:23 pm

  • Snell strikes out seven in no-decision Monday
Blake Snell allowed four runs (three earned) in four innings and got a no-decision in the Giants’ 8-4 victory over the Phillies on Monday.

Advice: Snell allowed five hits, two walks and struck out seven. It’s been a difficult start to the year for the two-time Cy Young award winner. Snell is yet to complete five innings in any of his five starts and has a 10.42 ERA. The seven strikeouts were a season-high at least. The 31-year-old left-hander is set to face the Yankees at home this weekend.

  • Abrams hits ninth home run Monday
CJ Abrams went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a sacrifice fly against the Braves on Monday.

Advice: The Nationals scored four runs in the first inning and Abrams’ solo shot in the second inning made the score 5-0. He hit 18 home runs in 151 games last year and is halfway to that mark in only 49 games so far this season. Fantasy managers didn’t draft Abrams for his power, though. While he stole 47 bases last year, he has just eight steals so far this year.

  • Bellinger has two-hit game Monday
Cody Bellinger went 2-for-4 against the Brewers on Monday.

Advice: It was a quiet day for the Cubs offense as they could only muster one run. Bellinger, however, has been hot at the plate since a slow start early this season. He’s 31-for-104 (.298) since April 13th.

  • Logs steal in Sunday's win
Gimenez went 2-for-4 with a hit-by-pitch one RBI, one stolen base and one run scored in Sunday's 5-4 win over the Angels.

Advice: Gimenez had a couple of hitless games last week, but he went 5-for-15 with five RBI and was plunked three times over the last four games. The second baseman is up to eight steals on 11 attempts this season, with Sunday's steal being his first since May 17. He's added a .270/.333/.383 slash line with four home runs, 32 RBI and 31 runs scored over 50 contests. Rotowire.com Monday, 10:13 am
  • Sharp outing against Yankees
Musgrove did not factor into the decision in Sunday's win over the Yankees, allowing one run on six hits and no walks while striking out five over 5.1 innings.

Advice: Musgrove blanked the Yankees through five before Juan Soto finally opened up the scoring with a one-out RBI double in the sixth that prompted Musgrove's exit after 87 pitches. Despite remaining winless since April 21, Sunday's start was an encouraging showing and one of Musgrove's best starts in what's been a tough season for him so far. The 31-year-old will carry a 5.66 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 44:15 K:BB (49.1 innings) into a road start against the Royals this weekend. Rotowire.com Monday, 7:12 am

  • Stuck with loss Sunday
Schmidt (5-3) took the loss Sunday against the Padres after allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits and three walks while striking out six over five innings.

Advice: Schmidt took a tough-luck loss in a game during which he took a shutout into the sixth inning. The first two batters in the frame would reach via an error and a walk before Schmidt turned things over to the bullpen. From there, Victor Gonzalez would allow both inherited runners to score. Schmidt registered a solid 16 whiffs on the afternoon and has recorded six or more strikeouts in five straight starts. The 28-year-old is showing signs of a legit breakout campaign and will carry a 2.52 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 67:20 K:BB (60.2 innings) into a projected matchup with the Giants this weekend. • Blasts pair of home runs
Happ went 2-for-3 with two home runs, a walk and three RBI in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Cardinals.

Advice: Happ's two home runs were the only source of offense for the Cubs in Sunday's loss. He first had a two-run shot off Andrew Kittredge in the seventh before following that up with a solo blast against Ryan Helsley in the ninth. Happ doubled his home run total on the season and put together his first multiple RBI effort since April 16. He now has six hits over his last five games but is still slashing just .224/.335/.362 with 15 extra-base hits, 17 RBI, 25 runs and a 27:57 BB:K in 203 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Monday, 5:08 am
