• Slated for rehab start Tuesday
Red Sox manager Alex Cora said Saturday that Mata (shoulder) felt good after his rehab start Thursday, and the right-hander will start again for Triple-A Worcester on Tuesday, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.

Advice: In his first rehab outing for Triple-A Worcester on Thursday, Mata allowed two runs on two hits and one walk while striking out two over 2.2 frames. He opened the season on the injured list with a right hamstring strain, but he has been dealing with lat and shoulder soreness since May. Mata is out of minor-league options, and the 25-year-old right-hander is expected to work as a reliever out of Boston's bullpen once his rehab program is complete. Rotowire.com 6 minutes ago

  • D-backs activate Zac Gallen for start against A’s
Diamondbacks activated RHP Zac Gallen from the 15-day injured list.

Advice: Gallen finds himself the recipient of a tasty matchup on Saturday afternoon against the rebuilding Athletics following a one-month absence due to a Grade 1 right hamstring strain. The 28-year-old upper-echelon fantasy contributor holds a strong 3.12 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 60/15 K/BB ratio across 57 2/3 innings (11 starts) this season. Rotoworld 16 minutes ago

  • Sent back to Reno
The Diamondbacks optioned Hughes to Triple-A Reno on Saturday.

  • Reinstated from IL
The Diamondbacks reinstated Gallen (hamstring) from the 15-day injured list ahead of his start Saturday versus Oakland.

In a corresponding move, Brandon Hughes was optioned to Triple-A Reno. Rotowire.com 32 minutes ago
