• Lifts first big-league homer
Loftin went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and an additional RBI in Tuesday's 7-5 loss to the Athletics.

Advice: Loftin hit his first career homer off Hogan Harris in the second inning, tying the game at 2-2. While Loftin has seen a steady run at second base, he entered Tuesday on an 0-for-14 skid that could jeopardize his playing time. He's slashing .253/.351/.304 with 12 RBI, 13 runs scored and no stolen bases over 95 plate appearances this season. Michael Massey (back) began a rehab assignment Tuesday, so Loftin's time in a starting role -- and potentially in the majors -- could come to a close when Massey is ready to return to the Royals. • Fills box score Tuesday
Gelof went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run, one stolen base and two runs scored in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Royals.

Advice: Gelof took Alec Marsh deep in the fourth inning to provide the Athletics with enough offense to weather the Royals' comeback attempt. This was Gelof's third multi-hit effort in his last seven games, though the homer was his first since June 5. The second baseman is starting to put together better at-bats, but he's still at a .195/.250/.335 slash line with six homers, 18 RBI, 20 runs scored and eight stolen bases over 54 contests this season. • Zack Gelof hits three-run homer, steals base
Zack Gelof went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer and a steal as Oakland’s No. 9 hitter Tuesday against the Royals.

Advice: Gelof is pretty much impossible to use in shallow leagues while batting at the bottom of Oakland’s order, but one modest hot streak should be enough to put him back into the top third of the lineup. He’s at .195/.250/.335 right now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:54 pm

  • Nick Loftin hits first big-league homer for Royals
Nick Loftin collected his first major league homer Tuesday off Oakland’s Hogan Harris.

Advice: Loftin’s homer came in his 160th plate appearance since he debuted last year. He’s batting .253/.351/.304 in 95 plate appearances while helping to fill in for Michael Massey this season. That’s definitely a bigger contribution than Adam Frazier has made thus far, but Loftin is still probably going to be optioned out once Massey returns. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:54 pm
  • Ernie Clement drives in two in loss to Red Sox
Ernie Clement went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: Clement doubled in the second inning to score Justin Turner and Addison Barger, giving the Jays an early 2-1 lead. Clement has now hit safely in three straight games and has four RBI to his name over that stretch. Clement is batting a blistering .429 in the month of June with six RBI and six extra-base hits. • Considered day-to-day
Manager Brandon Hyde said that Westburg was diagnosed with a bruised left hip following Tuesday's loss to the Yankees, Jacob Calvin Meyer of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Advice: Westburg collided with Juan Soto during the first inning of Tuesday's contest and eventually had to leave the game in the second. He appears to have avoided any significant damage, and it's possible he could return to Baltimore's lineup Wednesday without missing any games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:30 pm

  • Jordan Westburg day-to-day with hip soreness
Jordan Westburg is day-to-day with left hip soreness.

Advice: Orioles manager Brandon Hyde told reporters following Tuesday’s loss to the Yankees that Westburg is pretty sore, but it doesn’t sound like he suffered a significant injury when he collided at an awkward angle with Juan Soto during the opening frame of the contest, which led to his early exit. The 25-year-old infielder will likely sit out a couple games moving forward, but it doesn’t appear that he’s headed to the injured list. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:16 pm

  • Santiago Espinal homers in win over Pirates
Santiago Espinal went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in a win over the Pirates on Tuesday.

Advice: Espinal’s home run accounted for the only runs the Reds would score, or need to score, on Tuesday. It was Espinal’s first start in over a week and just his fourth home run of the season to go along with a .204 average. He remains off fantasy radars, but it was a good day for him today. • Albies triples, drives in one in win over Tigers
Ozzie Albies went 1-for-4 with a triple and an RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Tigers.

Advice: Albies hit his first triple of the season in the first inning to drive home Jared Kelenic. His RBI would be one of two the Braves would drive in on the evening in what turned into an unexpected pitching duel on the evening. Like many of his teammates, Albies has struggled at the plate this month, slashing .209/.229/.418, despite having nine extra base hits. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:03 pm
