• Duran has two hits, robs home run in win Saturday
Jarren Duran went 2-for-4 with a run scored against the Reds on Saturday.

Advice: Duran won this game for Boston. He singled in the eighth inning and came around to score the go-ahead run. Then in a one-run game in the ninth inning, Duran robbed what would’ve been a home run off the bat of Stuart Fairchild. Duran is hitting .283 with an .826 OPS on the season. • Daulton Varsho (back) will not play on Sunday
Blue Jays’ manager John Schneider told reporters after Saturday’s game that Daulton Varsho has been dealing with some tightness in his lower back and will be held out of the team’s starting lineup on Sunday.

Advice: The 27-year-old played the entire game on Saturday but reported to his manager afterwards that his back had tightened up on him. It doesn’t sound like anything that should lead to any sort of extended absence and there’s even a possibility that Varsho could be available to pinch-hit off the bench on Sunday. He should be considered day-to-day. Rotoworld Today, 4:18 pm

  • Kiner-Falefa has two-homer game in loss Saturday
Isiah Kiner-Falefa went 2-for-3 with two home runs against the Guardians on Saturday.

Advice: Bo Bichette continues to miss games with a calf injury, giving Kiner-Falefa some run at shortstop. He was able to hit two home runs out of the leadoff spot on Saturday. Kiner-Falefa now has six home runs on the year. He’s hitting .281 with a .733 OPS and 31 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Today, 4:16 pm

After going 0-for-4 on Friday to snap his 14-game hitting streak, he bounced back with another two hits. Kwan has been one of the best hitters in the league. • Has back soreness, off Sunday
Varsho experienced back tightness late in Saturday's game against the Guardians and will be given the day off for Sunday's series finale, Hazel Mae of Sportsnet reports.

Advice: Varsho grounded out in the ninth inning but never made it out of the batters box, immediately grabbing at his lower back after making contact. Though the injury doesn't seem of much concern, Varsho will be held out of Sunday's contest. Varsho went 0-for-4 with a strikeout during Saturday's 6-3 loss. Rotowire.com Today, 4:06 pm

  • Castellanos belts 11th home run in win Saturday
Nick Castellanos went 2-for-3 with a home run and five RBI against the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

Advice: Castellanos’ home run was his 11th of the season and went so far he started removing his protective elbow pad before he even exited the batter’s box. In all, he had a sacrifice fly, two-run home run and two-run double. Castellanos has struggled this season with a .225 average and .672 OPS, but the Phillies lineup still provides opportunities to drive in runs as he now has 37 RBI on the year. • Smith belts sixth home run in win Saturday
Josh Smith went 2-for-3 with a solo home run against the Royals on Saturday.

Advice: Smith’s home run was his sixth of the year. He’s 15-for-37 (.405) with three home runs, eight RBI and a stolen base in his last 13 games. Smith has stood out on the Rangers offense and found his way to the No. 3 spot in the lineup. Given Texas’ other options, they’ll continue to find playing time for him as long as he’s producing like this. Rotoworld Today, 3:46 pm

  • Manuel Margot swats three-run homer in blowout
Manuel Margot hit a three-run homer while picking up three hits in a blowout win Saturday over the Athletics.

Advice: Margot hit his three-run blast off a wholly ineffective JP Sears in the second inning; a frame that the Twins put up an eight spot against Sears and Osvaldo Bido. The 29-year-old outfielder has just two homers on the season, and his days of relevance in fantasy leagues appear to be over at this stage. Rotoworld Today, 3:42 pm

  • Landford has two hits, grand slam in win Saturday
Wyatt Langford went 2-for-4 with a grand slam against the Royals on Saturday.

Advice: Langford’s home run was just his third of the year, but he’s been heating up at the plate lately. Since returning from the injured list, he’s 23-for-77 (.298) with two home runs and 19 RBI in 21 games. Langford still has plenty of time over the rest of the season to live up to the lofty preseason expectations. Rotoworld Today, 3:41 pm
