    • Homers in Sunday's loss
McMahon went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Giants.

Advice: McMahon extended his hitting streak to eight games, and he's now gone 13-for-33 (.394) with two homers and five RBI in that span. His first-inning blast off Jordan Hicks was just one of three hits the Rockies mustered in the contest. McMahon is up to seven homers, 25 RBI, 22 runs scored and 10 doubles while slashing .306/.387/.486 through 46 games this season. Rotowire.com Today, 9:14 pm

    • Jake Cronenworth goes deep in victory over Braves
Jake Cronenworth smashed a two-run homer on Sunday night, helping to propel the Padres to a lopsided victory over the Braves.

Advice: Cronenworth victimized Braves’ starter Bryce Elder in the opening inning with his two-out, 392-foot (101.3 mph EV) two-run blast that gave the Padres the early lead. That would be his only hit in four at-bats on the night. On the season, the versatile 30-year-old is now hitting .275/.344/.485 with eight long balls and 30 RBI. Rotoworld Today, 7:05 pm

    • Efficient in earning second win
Pivetta (2-2) earned the win Sunday, allowing one run on one hit over six innings against the Cardinals. He struck out eight.

Advice: A fourth-inning solo homer by Lars Nootbaar was the only blemish against Pivetta, who needed just 72 pitches to retire 18 of the 19 batters he faced. It was the second consecutive start for Pivetta with eight punchouts, as he's struck out 16 over 11.2 innings while allowing only three runs during that stretch. However, it should be noted that all three runs were scored by way of the long ball, and Pivetta has now allowed six homers, including five of the solo variety, over his last three appearances. Pivetta will look to carry the momentum into his next start, tentatively slated to take place next weekend when the Red Sox welcome the Brewers into Fenway for a three-game set. • Ryan McMahon homers in loss to Giants
Ryan McMahon went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Giants on Sunday.

Advice: McMahon took Jordan Hicks deep with a 377-foot shot that left the bat at 103.5 mph. He also added a 110 mph groundout and struck the ball well on Sunday. He now has seven home runs and 25 RBI on the season to go along with a .306/.387/.486 tripe slash. He’s been the best hitter on the Rockies and will continue to have underrated fantasy value while hitting the middle of their lineup. Rotoworld Today, 3:46 pm

    • Joining team in New York
Crawford (oblique) is set to join the Mariners ahead of their three-game series with the Yankees beginning Monday, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Crawford appears to be ready to rejoin the major-league roster after being placed on the 10-day injured list with a Grade 1 right oblique strain April 25. The shortstop went 1-for-5 with a run scored during his short two-game rehab assignment, which was cut short after he was hit in the hand by a pitch Wednesday. Crawford has struggled to a .198/.296/.302 slash line with two homers, nine RBI and 13 runs scored over 86 at-bats in 22 games with Seattle this season. His return will likely push Dylan Moore out of the starting lineup. Rotowire.com Today, 2:55 pm

    • Cedric Mullins knocks in two, steals base in win
Cedric Mullins went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a steal against the Mariners on Sunday.

Advice: Mullins snapped a hitless skid with a bunt single Saturday and today had two clean singles, both of which knocked in runs. He’s still batting just .194/.241/.351, but this seems like progress, and he has a nice schedule coming up against the Cardinals and White Sox this week. Rotoworld Today, 1:54 pm

    • Nick Pivetta fans eight in defeating Cardinals
Nick Pivetta limited the Cardinals to one run and one hit over six innings in Boston’s 11-3 win Sunday.

Advice: The one hit was a 441-foot homer from Lars Nootbaar, but Pivetta retired every other batter he faced, striking out eight of them. He struggled in his first start back from the IL, but he has a 3.04 ERA and a 30/2 K/BB ratio through five outings this year. He’ll get the Brewers next. Rotoworld Today, 1:28 pm

    • Should return this week
Mariners manager Scott Servais said Sunday that Crawford (oblique/hand) is expected to join the club at some point during the four-game series against the Yankees that begins Monday, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The 29-year-old was unable to join the Mariners as expected in Baltimore this weekend after he was hit by a pitch on the hand during a rehab game Wednesday, but it appears his return will be delayed only a few days. Once activated from the injured list, Crawford should reclaim the starting job at shortstop from Dylan Moore. Rotowire.com Today, 1:07 pm

    • Taking on 'fluid' role
Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said Sunday that Diaz's bullpen role will be more "fluid" for the near future, Paige Leckie of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The 30-year-old surrendered four runs in his third blown save of the season Saturday and admitted that his confidence is down with seven runs allowed in his past three outings, so the Mets won't rely on him to be their primary closer for a bit. Diaz is still viewed as the club's closer long term but is now likely to see some lower-leverage work in an attempt to get him back on track. Adam Ottavino and Reed Garrett are the likely candidates to step in for save chances in the meantime. Rotowire.com Today, 12:32 pm
