Amed Rosario collects three hits in win over Mets
Amed Rosario had a nice night at the dish in Friday’s victory over the Mets, going 3-for-5 with a pair of runs scored and two RBI.
Advice: The 28-year-old infielder reached on an infield single to start the second inning and scored the Rays’ first run on a ground out off the bat of Jonny DeLuca. He then smacked an RBI single off of José Quintana in the third inning that gave the Rays a 4-3 lead they would never relinquish. He then came around to score on a two-run single by DeLuca. Rosario has been a bright spot in the Rays’ lineup this season, slashing a healthy .309/.327/.427 with two homers, 15 RBI and three stolen bases in his first 29 games.
