    • Four-hit game Saturday
Chapman went 4-for-4 with a walk and four runs scored in Saturday's 14-4 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Chapman doubled, singled twice and also stole his fifth base of the season. The veteran third baseman had three hits and a steal in Friday's contest, as well, so perhaps he's finally starting to turn the corner. Chapman had been demoted to as low as seventh in the Giants' batting order earlier this month, but he's hit cleanup for the last two games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:12 pm
    • Matt Chapman reaches five times against Rockies
Matt Chapman went 4-for-4 with two doubles, four runs scored, one walk, and a stolen base against the Rockies on Saturday.

Advice: Chapman has broken out at the plate of the last two games. After collecting three hits on Friday, he was a perfect 4-for-4 against the Rockies on Saturday. He started with a double in the first and scored on a home run by Luis Matos. Chapman led off the third with a base hit and scored again on a double by Matos. He added a single and a stolen base in the fifth, then reached third on a double and an error in the seventh before scoring once more. The 31-year-old third baseman is now hitting .236/.292/.388 with five homers, 29 runs scored, 20 RBI, and five steals across 192 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:57 pm
    • On bench Saturday
Nevin will sit Saturday versus Kansas City.

Advice: Nevin will take a seat after going 0-for-2 with a walk in the team's 6-2 loss in the series opener Friday. Seth Brown will draw the start in right field and bat seventh against the Royals. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:32 pm

    • Return delayed multiple weeks
Jung (wrist) still appears to be at least six weeks from returning to the lineup, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Advice: Jung has yet to pick up a bat after undergoing surgery on his right wrist April 2 and is expected to be reevaluated in another 10-to-14 days before being cleared to start taking swings. The initial timeline for his return was 6-to-8 weeks, which was later adjusted to 10-to-12 weeks, and he now appears to be tracking toward the latter end of that estimation, if not later. The repair of his fractured wrist proved to be trickier than initially anticipated, and Texas will likely be cautious in its approach with the budding star at third base, so fantasy managers shouldn't expect him back until late June or early July. • Report: Josh Jung (wrist) six weeks from returning
Josh Jung (wrist) is at least six weeks away from returning, reports Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News.

Advice: Ugh. Original post-surgery estimates put Jung’s potential return sometime around 10-12 weeks from the early-April procedure, but he’s progressing slower than originally anticipated. The 26-year-old slugger resumed throwing, fielding ground balls and running earlier this week, but has yet to resume swinging a bat. The -year-old third baseman is seven weeks removed from surgery, and while he hasn’t suffered any setbacks, isn’t likely to return until at least late June or early July. • Not starting versus lefty
Baty isn't in the Mets' lineup Saturday versus the Marlins.

Advice: With left-hander Braxton Garrett set to take the mound for Miami, the lefty-hitting Baty will step out of the lineup in favor of Mark Vientos, who will start at third and bat fifth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:26 am
    • Logs three hits, steal in win
Chapman went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a hit-by-pitch, an RBI, a stolen base and three runs scored in Friday's 10-5 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Chapman has gone 9-for-32 (.281) over his last eight games as he finally seems to be finding a rhythm at the plate. He got the Giants on the board with an RBI double in the first inning and continued to be involved in the team's subsequent rallies. The third baseman is slashing .218/.273/.362 with five home runs, 10 doubles, 20 RBI, 25 runs scored and four steals through 187 plate appearances this season. While his rate stats are well below his usual standards, the recent improvements are a reason for optimism, especially as he continues to hit in the heart of the order for a lineup devastated by injuries. • Matt Chapman doubles twice, scores three runs
Matt Chapman doubled twice and scored three runs while driving in one in a win over the Rockies on Friday.

Advice: Chapman has gone through it for most of the 2024 season, but things have looked better — for the most part — the past week. The infielder is only hitting .218 over the first six weeks of the campaign, but this has been a streaky hitter for the majority of the campaign, and it’s certainly possible he’s entering a hot run right now. • Absent from lineup
Nevin is not in the lineup for Thursday's contest in Houston.

Advice: Nevin's production has cratered in May (3-for-39) and with that his playing time has also slipped. He's now started just half of the Athletics' last 10 games, and the last time he was in the lineup versus a right-hander he was down in the No. 8 spot. Rotowire.com Thursday, 1:30 pm
