      Advice: The Rangers are monitoring the situation and have no plans yet to move his next start scheduled for Friday. "We'll see how he's doing," Texas manager Bruce Bochy said.       Peterson came away with a no-decision in Tuesday's 9-7 win over the Yankees, allowing one run on three hits and five walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out eight.

      Advice: Despite being staked to a 6-0 lead by the end of the fourth inning, Peterson wasn't efficient enough to qualify for his fourth straight win as he needed 103 pitches (62 strikes) to record his 13 outs. The southpaw has walked multiple batters in four straight outings but has mostly been able to limit the damage, and he'll take a 3.67 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 20:13 K:BB through 27 innings into his next start, which is currently scheduled to come on the road early next week against the Nationals.       Phillips earned the save in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the White Sox, pitching a perfect inning with one strikeout.

      Advice: Phillips entered the ninth with a one-run lead and promptly retired the side on 14 pitches, including 10 strikes. The 29-year-old right-hander has been steady in June so far, firing a 3.00 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 8:2 K:BB over nine innings with five saves.       Castillo (6-9) took the loss against the Rays on Tuesday, allowing four runs on five hits and four walks with four strikeouts over 5.1 innings.

      Advice: Castillo surrendered a leadoff home run to Yandy Diaz in the first inning and an RBI single to Jose Siri in the second. He responded with three scoreless frames but was pulled after walking two batters in the sixth. Both baserunners scored, resulting in the third time Castillo has yielded at least four earned runs in June. With this scoreless performance, Lugo collected his third straight quality start and lowered his June ERA to 3.69 over 31.2 innings with a 29:8 K:BB. Overall, he sports a 2.29 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 95:26 K:BB across 110 innings this season. Lugo is currently slated to make one more start this month against Cleveland at home this weekend.       Seth Lugo pitched six scoreless innings while striking out eight in Tuesday’s loss to the Marlins.

      Advice: Lugo allowed just two hits and four total baserunners on the night, doing his part to stifle a Marlins lineup that hasn’t struck fear in too many pitchers this season. Unfortunately for Lugo, the slim 1-0 lead he exited with was last in the seventh inning when reliever Carlos Hernández allowed an RBI single to Nick Gordon to tie the game. Regardless of the outcome, it was a solid night for Lugo, who lowered his ERA to 2.29 on the season.     • David Peterson loses command in no decision
      David Peterson allowed one run on three hits in 4 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the Yankees.

      Advice: Peterson also struck out eight but walked five on the day. He was gifted a 6-1 lead, but he was unable to pitch deep enough to get the win as he walked two straight batters after getting the first out in the fifth inning and was removed before facing a right-handed batter. The left-hander had an impressive 31 percent whiff rate and 30 percent CSW on the day, but he struggled to find the zone with his fastball and now has 10 walks over his last three starts.     • Hunter Greene coughs up six runs to Pirates
      Hunter Greene allowed six runs on seven hits in four innings in a loss to the Pirates on Tuesday.

      Advice: The game started with Greene throwing up on the mound after delivering a first-inning fastball and it didn’t get much better from there. He struck out five and walked two and his velocity was fine on the day, but he clearly wasn’t feeling 100 percent. He posted a solid 27 percent whiff rate and 30 percent CSW, but the command wasn’t great and the Pirates were able to scratch out their runs on just one extra-base hit.     • Luis Castillo chased in 6th in loss to Rays
      Luis Castillo allowed four runs on five hits in 5 1/3 innings in a loss to the Rays on Tuesday.

      Advice: The Mariners ace struck out four and walked four on the day. He wasn’t sharp, with just a 44 percent zone rate on the day, but he had kept it together until the sixth inning. With the game tied at two, Castillo got one quick out but walked the next two hitters and was chased from the game. Michael Baumann then allowed a triple and a home run to bring in both inherited runners. Castillo had nine whiffs on 44 swings for a 20 percent whiff rate and 29 percent CSW on the day. We can probably chalk this up to a poor start, but it’s his second straight one so we’d like to see him right the ship next time out. The only problem is that the start comes against the Orioles.
