His struggles from the middle of the order this month have led the Reds to the cellar in the NL Central, though it's certainly not all his fault.       Spencer Steer homered for the second consecutive game on Saturday, helping to power the Reds to a 3-1 victory over the visiting Dodgers.

      Advice: Steer got the scoring started in the opening inning on Saturday, crushing a 362-foot (94.9 mph EV) solo shot off of Walker Buehler.       Steer went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer, a walk and two runs scored in Friday's win over the Dodgers.

      Advice: Steer got the Reds' offense started with a three-run blast in the first inning. He snapped a 17-game homerless drought, during which he'd posted an unsightly .527 OPS.       Advice: Steer didn't start in either of the last two games while managing a sore ankle, though he felt well enough to make a pinch-hitting appearance in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Dodgers. Monday's team off day plus an absence from the lineup in Tuesday's 2-0 win over San Diego appears to have provided sufficient time for Steer to move past the ankle issue.       Elly De La Cruz went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in a win over the Padres on Tuesday.

      Advice: The double accounted for the only RBI of the game, but it wasn’t particularly well hit at just 86 mph off the bat. It was just one of those nights where neither offense seemed to get anything going.       Advice: Steer was held out of the starting lineup Sunday as a result of the ankle but served as a pinch hitter.
