• Luis García Jr. smacks two home runs in win
Luis García Jr. went 2-for-3 with two home runs, four RBI, three runs scored, and a walk in the Nationals’ 7-5 win over the Mets on Wednesday.

Advice: This was and second multi-homer game in García’s and each one was mightily important to the Nationals’ victory. His first was a moonshot off a hanging Christian Scott sweeper that cut the Mets’ lead from 5-1 to 5-4 and his next provided a valuable insurance run in the eighth inning. The two home runs pushed García to nine on the season, already tying his career-best mark set last season. Rotoworld 15 minutes ago

  • Mark Vientos hits towering home run in loss
Mark Vientos went 1-for-4 with a long two-run homer on Wednesday against the Nationals.

Advice: This home run was a shot, traveling an estimated 435 feet and hit 106.0 MPH. Despite not getting another hit, Vientos scorched two other balls and remained locked in at the plate. The Mets made him their starting third baseman on May 15th and he has the eighth highest wRC+ in baseball since that day. Rotoworld 18 minutes ago

  • Martín Maldonado hits first homer since April 26
Martín Maldonado went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer and three RBI on Wednesday, powering the White Sox to a lopsided 8-2 win over the Guardians.

Advice: Maldonado connected on a 95.6 mph heater from Guardians reliever Tim Herrin in the eighth inning, sneaking it just inside the left-field foul pole for his first deep fly since April 26. He also chipped in a run-scoring single off Cleveland starter Gavin Williams back in the fourth inning as part of Chicago’s four-run outburst in the frame. The 37-year-old backstop has been a complete non-factor at the dish for several years at this juncture, but his defensive abilities are enough to keep him hanging around at least a bit longer. • Jhonkensy Noel batting .235 through six games
Jhonkensy Noel went 1-for-4 with a single on Wednesday in the Guardians’ loss to the White Sox.

Advice: It’s admittedly an extremely small sample size, but Noel is batting just .235 (4-for-17) with eight strikeouts in six games since being called up last week from Triple-A Columbus. The 22-year-old slugger has also homered twice during that span, but it’s really been an all-or-nothing stretch for him so far as he adjusts to life in the majors. There’s some appeal here for fantasy managers in deeper mixed leagues if he can make enough contact to consistently showcase his mammoth raw power. Rotoworld 32 minutes ago

Bryce Harper led all National League players in voting for the All-Star Game, getting named to his eighth All-Star team.

  • Aaron Judge tops vote getters in American League
Aaron Judge led all vote getters in Phase 1 of voting for the All-Star Game and was named to his sixth American League All-Star squad on Wednesday.

Advice: It’s the fourth straight year that Judge will represent the American League in the Mid-Summer Classic. Here’s who will join him in the starting lineup for the American League All-Stars (with their number of times making the All-Star team and starting in the game in parentheses): 1B: Vladimir Guerrero (4 - 3x starter), 2B: Jose Altuve (9, 6x starter), SS: Gunnar Henderson (1 - 1x starter), 3B; Jose Ramirez (6 - 3x starter), C: Adley Rutschman (2 - 1x starter), OF: Aaron Judge (6 - 6x starter), Juan Soto (4 - 1x starter), Steven Kwan (1- 1x starter) and DH: Yordan Alvarez (3 - 1x starter). • Corey Seager added to Rangers lineup on Wednesday
Corey Seager (hand) was added to the Rangers’ starting lineup for Wednesday night’s battle against the Padres.

Advice: As manager Bruce Bochy had alluded to earlier in the day, Seager checked out good and was a late addition to the Rangers’ lineup. Jonathan Ornelas — who had been scheduled to start at third base — was scratched from the lineup with Josh Smith shifting back from shortstop to third base. Rotoworld Today, 3:51 pm

  • Blue Jays place Justin Turner on paternity list
Blue Jays placed INF Justin Turner on the paternity list.

Advice: The 39-year-old slugger will be away from the team for at least a couple of days as he welcomes a new addition to his family. Steward Berroa was recalled from Triple-A Buffalo to take his place on the Jays’ active roster. Rotoworld Today, 3:48 pm

  • Scratched Wednesday
Ornelas was scratched from the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Padres.

Advice: The 24-year-old was set to receive his second straight start at third base Wednesday, but shortstop Corey Seager's (wrist) late addition to the lineup will push Josh Smith back to the hot corner. Ornelas went 1-for-2 with a walk, a double and an RBI on Tuesday but may not stick around the roster much longer if Seager is fully recovered. Rotowire.com Today, 3:47 pm
