    Meadows went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 5-4 win over the Reds.

    Advice: Making his first MLB appearance since May 6, Meadows promptly blasted his third home run of the season. The 24-year-old scuffled in his first stint with the Tigers this year, batting just .096 across 32 games before getting demoted. The team is hoping his time in the minors corrected some issues, and Meadows should get plenty of opportunities in center field moving forward, particularly due to his strong defense.     Jurickson Profar hit a game-tying homer in the ninth to help the Padres to a victory on Friday over the Diamondbacks.

  • Ceddanne Rafaela homers in 10th to lead Red Sox
    After Masataka Yoshida’s homer tied it in the ninth, Ceddanne Rafaela hit a two-run homer in the 10th to propel the Red Sox past the Yankees 5-3 on Friday.

    Advice: Yoshida hit a game-tying homer off Clay Holmes, and Rafaela followed with a go-ahead blast off Tommy Kahnle in the 10th. It was Rafaela’s 10th homer, which is impressive for a 23-year-old with such middling exit velocity numbers.     Miguel Andujar homered in a loss to the Orioles on Friday.

    Advice: Andujar tied the game at 1-1 with a solo homer in the first inning. The former Yankee prodigy has gone deep three times while driving in 16 runs over his 144 at-bats while slashing .292/.318/.403.   • Luke Raley hits two-run double to help M’s top Jays
    Luke Raley hit a two-run double to help the Mariners to a 2-1 win over the Blue Jays on Friday.

    Advice: Raley gave Seattle a 2-0 lead with a two-run double off Kevin Gausman. The first-year Mariner has nine doubles on the season while driving home 25 runs. Raley has been one of the more consistent hitters for Seattle, but that’s a bit of faint praise considering his slash of .249/.294/.430. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:13 pm

    X-rays on Altuve's left hand came back negative following his removal from Friday's game versus Minnesota, Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet Southwest reports.

    Advice: Altuve made an early exit from Friday's game in the eighth inning after taking a pitch off his hand, but he managed to escape the incident with only a bruise. It's possible he sits out a game or two in order to give his hand a chance to properly recover, but an extended absence isn't likely.     The Astros got good news after Friday night’s victory over the Twins as the X-rays on the injured left hand of Jose Altuve came back negative for any fractures.
