• Yordan Alvarez (knee) exits after hit by pitch
Yordan Alvarez was removed from Saturday’s game against the Twins a couple of innings after he was plunked in the right knee by a pitch.

Advice: Alvarez remained in the game to run the bases for himself but was walking slowly and hobbling as he made his way to first base. When his spot in the order came back around in the eighth inning, Grae Kessinger was sent out to pinch-hit for him. The fact that the Twins had a six-run lead at the time may have played a role in his removal, but be sure to pay close attention to his status after the game and prior to Sunday’s contest. • Julio Rodriguez leaves game with possible injury
Julio Rodriguez was removed from Saturday’s ballgame against the Blue Jays in the first inning due to an apparent injury.

Advice: No word yet on what exactly occurred, but Rodriguez was pinch-hit for by Ty France the first time that he strolled to the plate in the home half of the first inning. Expect the Mariners to provide an update on the superstar outfielder’s status as soon as more information is available. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:31 pm

  • Ramón Laureano sitting out ninth straight game
Ramón Laureano (back) remains out of the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Phillies.

Advice: Laureano will miss his ninth straight game since last Wednesday due to an ongoing back issue. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:23 pm

  • Back in lineup Saturday
Matos is starting in right field and batting fifth in Saturday's game against the Guardians.

Advice: Matos was scratched from Friday's lineup due to the return of Mike Yastrzemski (elbow), but the former will return after just one game. Since being recalled from Triple-A Sacramento on June 22, Matos has gone 10-for-39 with two home runs and four RBI in 13 games. He'll face off against Cleveland southpaw Logan Allen on Saturday. • Out again Saturday
Smith (glute) isn't in the Rangers' lineup for Saturday's game against the Rays.

Advice: Smith missed four games in June due to glute tightness, and he'll be missing his second consecutive game Saturday due to the same injury. Jonathan Ornelas will pick up another start at third base and bat ninth while Smith continues to recover. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:45 am

  • Josh Smith remains out Saturday with glute issue
Josh Smith (lower body) remains out of the lineup for Saturday’s contest against the Rays.

Advice: Smith remains on the bench to open Saturday’s showdown after sitting out Friday’s game against the Rays due to glute tightness. It doesn’t sound like a serious concern moving forward, but the Rangers clearly don’t want to take any chances here. It’ll be Jonathan Ornelas drawing another start at the hot corner in his absence. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:43 am

  • Sitting vs. lefty
Suwinski is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Mets.

Advice: Suwinski went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's series opener, but he will begin Saturday's contest in the dugout with left-hander David Peterson on the mound. Michael Taylor will start in center field and bat ninth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:16 am

  • Plates pair in victory
Raley went 1-for-3 with a two-run double in a win over the Blue Jays on Friday.

Advice: Raley's third-inning two-bagger -- only his second extra-base hit in the last nine games -- brought home Julio Rodriguez and Cal Raleigh with what would be the only runs of the night for Seattle. Raley's recent lack of pop has been accompanied by plenty of struggles making any type of contact, as he owns a bloated 39.4 percent strikeout rate and an accompanying lowly .161 average over that aforementioned nine-game span. • Leads off against Mets
Palacios went 1-for-3 with a walk and three runs scored Friday against the Mets.

Advice: Palacios was recalled to the majors Thursday but had to wait an additional day for his first start. He batted leadoff and was effective in the role, though Andrew McCutchen was out of the lineup for rest and will presumably hit atop the order upon his return. Rotowire.com Friday, 10:56 pm
