• Exits after being hit in head
Ward (head) exited Sunday's game against the Tigers in the bottom of the ninth inning after being hit the in head by a pitch, Greg Beacham of The Associated Press reports. He went 0-for-3 with a strikeout in his first three plate appearances of the day.

Advice: Ward was struck in the head after a 93 mile per hour fastball got away from reliever Shelby Miller. The outfielder looked to be OK after getting hit, with his removal from the contest potentially being a matter of precaution, according to Beacham. The 30-year-old missed the final three months of the 2023 campaign after being hit in the face by a pitch from Toronto starter Alek Manoah, making the situation Sunday particularly jarring. Ward's status will likely receive an update in the near future, but at the moment, he appears to have avoided any significant injury. Rotowire.com 54 minutes ago

  • Heliot Ramos powers Giants to blowout win over Dodgers
Heliot Ramos went 3-for-5 with an RBI on Sunday, sparking the Giants to a 10-4 blowout victory over the Dodgers.

Advice: Ramos was once again at the epicenter of an impressive afternoon for San Francisco’s offense as his three-hit performance helped spark the Giants to an eventual blowout win where they tallied 10 runs on 16 hits. The 24-year-old outfielder is in the midst of a sustained breakout campaign where he’s batting .294/.368/.878 with 10 homers, 37 RBI and one steal over 212 plate appearances through 48 games. • Chris Taylor homers, drives in two runs in loss
Chris Taylor went 2-for-3 with a solo homer and two RBI on Sunday in the Dodgers’ blowout loss to the Giants.

Advice: Taylor was one of the few bright spots for Los Angeles during Sunday’s one-sided smackdown at the hands of San Francisco, delivering one of this better performances of the season just a few hours after Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters he’ll be given a bit of a runway to make it work at third base moving forward. The struggling 33-year-old veteran went deep off Giants starter Spencer Bivens in the fifth inning before adding a run-scoring double a couple frames later. He’s still a long ways off from consideration as a fantasy contributor, even in deeper mixed leagues, but a strong few weeks could be enough to keep him on the roster in Los Angeles heading towards the postseason. • Set to be activated Monday
Mitchell (finger) will join the Brewers in Denver on Monday and will be activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of the series opener against the Rockies, Adam McCalvy of MLB.comreports.

Advice: The 25-year-old has missed the first three months of the season due to a fractured finger, but he's ready to join the Brewers after a 14-game rehab assignment in the minor leagues. Milwaukee will now have a major logjam in the outfield, with Mitchell joining a group of Christian Yelich, Blake Perkins, Sal Frelick and Jackson Chourio. Frelick saw time at third base during spring training, but Joey Ortiz (neck) has played his way into the starting job during the first half. Rotowire.com Today, 2:24 pm

  • Nick Castellanos notches four hits on Sunday
Nick Castellanos went 4-for-5 with a double, three RBI, and a stolen base on Sunday in a thrilling 7-6 win over the Marlins.

Advice: Castellanos stepped up in a huge way Sunday as the Phillies try to make do without Bryce Harper, Kyle Schwarber, and J.T. Realmuto. He was in the middle of important rallies in the fifth and sixth innings and nearly hit a home run that was knocked down by Bryan De La Cruz right at the left field wall. Castellanos is too good to keep hitting as poorly as he has this season. Rotoworld Today, 2:01 pm

  • Bryan De La Cruz smacks 15th homer
Bryan De La Cruz went 2-for-4 with a home run and two runs scored on Sunday against the Phillies.

Advice: De La Cruz’s 15 home runs are incredibly sneaky. Just four off his career-high 19 he set last year, his 10.9 barrel rate suggest the power outburst is real. De La Cruz has always had tremendous physical tools and is now showing genuine, all-fields power. He’s a name to watch ahead of the trade deadline as a move out of the cavernous loanDepot Park in Miami could increase his power potential. Rotoworld Today, 1:59 pm
